>>1026314 ...t-tu,ta,type of, what? Sorry, I think I was asking about, making ball joints and sockets. Why am I supposed to, be, showing stuff suddenly? I am still at the basic. Though if you are interested, This picture illustrate most what I am curious of. I think something about frictions, maybe even "point of contact", which I just thought of, otherwise, this is a curious topic regardless.
Weirdly-stylized torso I just made in trying to get a better hang of the different tools. Is there a particularly good way to go about smoothing round bits? I had to keep switching between the inflating and smoothing brushes for the breasts because just smoothing creates weird flat areas.

Anyone here use Nomad? I didn't realize it came to PC a while ago.
>>1026486 box modeling the breasts seperately, subdividing and then merging it with the torso model as one of the last steps has been my go to also how do you make the skin so unlumpy and the creases so perfect?whats the voxel size when you retopologize?(also im really impressed by how well you got the proportions down while still pulling off that kind of stylization do you have any anatomy advice?)
>>1027239 >how do you make the skin so unlumpy and the creases so perfect? I use the crease brush to outline different elements, smooth the resulting creases a little, then use the inflate brush on the areas between the creases. I'm not sure if that's the 'right' way to go about it, but it seems to work. >whats the voxel size when you retopologize? 0.01 >do you have any anatomy advice? Nope. I'm neither an expert on anatomy, nor did I use any particular references while making this. Infact I wouldn't be surprised if it's completely fucked anatomically. I was just trying to make some pleasing shapes while attempting to get better with the sculpting tools.
First time sculpting in vr. With a clay shader I really love this rough look. Also still really new to 3d in general.

>>1023366(OP) Is it possible to edit the matcap you’re using on this model in blender and replace\desaturate the colors ? I want normal dark gray shadow instead of those red and blue ambient they’re very distracting?
>>1027581 I've been using shapelab and like it a lot. It's pricey but there is probably a cracked version somewhere. I tried a blender one but only for like 10 minutes.

>bite the bullet and start to learn Zbrush because Quad Remesher is broke in new versions of blender and the dev is a lazy faggot and won't update it, whereas ZRemesher is native to Zbrush >learning zbrush >the 'draw size' slider keeps greying out, regardless if I'm in edit mode or not >only way to adjust it after it breaks is with the [ and ] keys it's ZBrush 2025.0.1 for reference. looks like this problem pops up all over the place with other versions too. is Zbrush always this much of a piece of shit? I wanted to learn it because it's also getting non-alien UI soon which is even more appealing, but this isn't a great start
>>1026151 you boolean the part that the joint goes into, except you purposely make the socket a bit smaller than the joint. That's engineering though, they don't teach that in art school.

>>1027630 If shit is graying out, like draw size, then it's probably the brush that you chose. Also you're doing weird shit to make that happen, I haven't had that problem since I first touched Zbrush years ago.
