So Nemesis Q might be the strongest of them. Well the abilities she showcased certainly had the widest range. Time travel, psionic virus, sentient semi-independent proxies, wide-scale cloaking, teleport. Miroku is busted but seems more limited in what he can do, Granar's telekinesis has many potential applications but I doubt he cares about anything non-combat.

Same with why Miroku needed money or people when he ended up with like 10 followers and all the labour is being done by Grana anyway.
I guess this is one of the reason why it ended up being axed, the fights and powers are cool, but the whole backstory really feels lackluster.

Miroku accumulating money makes sense when he needs resources to build an organization, and doesn't know the future. His original plan seems to have been to gather resources while waiting for the meteor to be ready, make his big announcement incognito a couple months before the world would be destroyed so they couldn't hunt him down while he gathered followers, then destroy the world. After which he'd use the accumulated resources to maintain himself and his followers while they get their new world set up.

The initial fight where he lost the money he'd stolen from the yakuza rendered the incognito part pointless as his opponents already knew who he was. But the story never said he didn't find other ways to gather the money he needed. Now currently his fight with Granar being public has moved the timetable for his announcement up, hence why the DVD is blank. There's probably now a different DVD with a recording of the news broadcast, but that wasn't the one that they took.

Not that convenient. They already had one test subject escape and wreck havoc on his way out. Of course they’d want an easier way to shut down future test subjects that did the same. Living by squatting and stealing food and other supplies isn't exactly fun and doesn't sustain them after the world is destroyed. Even if they have an idea they can create Taboo cores which remove the need to eat, they shouldn't have any guarantees on how long that'll take. So for the original plan of being incognito, they'd want money to quietly get a place to stay and to quietly stockpile supplies to cover them until the world is destroyed and for a while after while they start getting their new order established.

There were probably limited supplies on the island, so left for the mainland to search for supplies and other survivors. Assuming they even waited there until the meteor hit. Giant meteor about to hit the world sounds like a great time to ditch work and go home to family.
