Does anyone know any foods I can eat that can provide me with carbs and can be sweet as a dessert?
Every fucking food I buy for carbs or sweets has flour in it, and when they include the flour, it's all fucking enriched with fucking iron and folic acid.
These are toxic fucking levels of iron and folic acid and my body cannot fucking handle that shit. My teeth hurt, my muscles hurt, my chest hurts, my mouth feels and tastes like it's attached to a car battery. My skin gets inflamed and even has these random swellings like warts in random places. All because I keep eating this shit. And I feel like shit. Like literal fucking shit. It's fucking awful.
These fucking vitamins are fucking retarded. I can't enjoy anything made with flour cause it has been "enriched" with this shit.
What the fuck am I supposed to do now? Where am I going to get my carbs and sweets from?
Oh, I see, so basically, if I want to keep eating foods made with wheat and flour, I have to buy organic shit. Cause they don't touch that shit apparently.
Be paying twice as much, but I don't get the retard vitamins.
Organic Pasta Organic Bread Organic PopTarts Organic Ramen Organic Cookies Organic Rice Organic Cereal
That's fucked up.

As a fat fuck I'm kind of envious of you. You have a feedback loop in your life that should prevent things like diabetes or weight gain. All of the things you listed aren't particularly healthy to eat on a regular basis anyway.
One thing you can maybe try is baking your own things, controlling the ingredients you put in. It'll be annoying but it's often still pretty fun. Can be more cost-effective too if you make things in big batches and freeze/preserve them.
In fact maybe I'll try that too. Instead of buying sweeter goods from the store I'll only let myself eat them if I make the myself.
>>34604256 >As a fat fuck I'm kind of envious of you Oh really
>One thing you can maybe try is baking your own things Man, I'm on that shit like an onlyfans bitch on a dildo. I've got the organic flour on my shopping cart right now.
>You have a feedback loop in your life that should prevent things like diabetes or weight gain To be fair, I've been skinny my entire life, even when I was a kid eating nothing but sweets and soda.
Holy shit man, they even put folic acid on fucking CORN tortillas. Why the fuck do they do this shit?

>>34604663 >why folic acid Pregnant women. It's important for fetal development and people are dumb so they just started putting it in shit so even if pregnant women don't listen to directions they still get enough of it.

>>34604672 Yeah, I get that. But... this is just... I mean folic acid isn't natural folate. It has to be converted by the body into folate. You go over a certain amount of that, and your body starts to get fucked up.
I remember when I used to take folic acid pills for my anemia (cause I have G6PD deficiency). 1 pill had 167% your daily value's worth. If I took TWO pills in the same day, I would be experiencing what I'm experiencing right now. Nerve pain, inflammation, headaches, pain in my chest, pain in my liver (or kidneys I dunno or both), random swellings. And I shouldn't even have been taking those pills, cause I was already getting enough folate and iron from the beans and spinach I was eating.
I think I even read somewhere, if you take too much folic acid, it can even cause nerve damage and even cancer.
This is fucked up. We are not pregnant mothers. I am not a pregnant mother. My teeth hurt, I have a fucking headache. The left side of my body is tingling for some reason.
And now I can't eat 80% of the food in a grocery store cause of this shit.
I have to imagine with all of the enriched food I have in my house right now, that I have been eating maybe 200% to 300% of the daily value of folic acid. This is not good. Not good at all.
That's great. That's just fucking great.

>>34604138 >, if I want to keep eating foods made with wheat and flour,
basically. and you can get organic flour and make your own pasta and bread from scratch.
>>34604768 best to come to terms with it sooner than later.
you did get a couple options in this thread at least.

>>34604042(OP) Have you considered eating fruit? Anything chocolatey? Meringues? Cakes that aren't based on flour, e.g. torta caprese, or tarta de Santiago? You can easily buy low carb cake mix as well - you basically just add water and bake. Or there are mousses. Dried fruits mixed with nuts. Or just Google for gluten free recipes, there are thousands.
If you're really stuck with pasta then low carb pasta might also be an option.
>>34604846 >low carb No, dude, I need carbs. I need lots and lots of carbs. Not sugar... but carbs. The main source of that is wheat. But these niggers have fortified all wheat with these shit vitamins, including folic acid. Which I don't want.
>>34604983 >real food Most of "real food" contains wheat

>>34605658 Luckily though, you can rinse out the vitamins before you cook the rice. So thank fucking god for that.

Why do people eat sweets after ever meal? It’s so boomer-coded

Anonymous06/08/26(Mon)18:03:36
>>34605658 >All the long grain rice they sell has been enriched. Well, if you buy the cheapest, shittiest rice you possibly can, sure. But buy something halfway decent like, say, Tilda Wholegrain Basmati rice, and that contains nothing except rice. (Or if you buy the pre-cooked microwaveable one, a little tiny bit of rice bran oil).

>>34605974 I don't. I eat sweets whenever the fuck I want. I never eat candy. Just muffins and donuts.
Also, I find it retarded to eat pasta with bread at the same time.

>>34604042(OP) If it were actual toxic levels of folic acid, everybody who ate enriched flour would have these symptoms. But they don't, so either your body is processing it wrongly, or something else is wrong with you. I would take it to the doctor instead of bitching about the gubmint on 4chan.
>>34606814 Okay, but did they say anything about the issue you made the thread about?
00
Anonymous06/09/26(Tue)03:45:15
>>34607524 I doubt that. These are the exact same symptoms I would get if I took too much folic acid tablets. Which I did a few years ago. I've been eating the same amount of wheat my entire life. The only thing that's changed is for the past couple months, I have been eating fortified cereal, with 100% the daily value of folic acid... in one serving of a measly little cup.

>>34607549 Doctors are very ignorant when it comes to nutrition and its effect on the body. All they want is to push unnecessary drugs on you. Look at how women were prescribed birth control for decades, just to treat some acne, and ended up permanently screwing up their body's hormones and other functions. Researchers still think more studies are needed on these drugs and the unknown negative effects on the body. The same goes for these synthetic vitamins that are not at all natural and their long term effects on the body.

>>34604042(OP) Buy flour that isn't enriched and make it yourself.
>>34604042(OP) Certified Organic flour is not allowed to be enriched. Also, you should take high dose (15mg or more) or MTHF to compensate for your folic acid problems.

>>34607549 >>34609089 OP here. Okay, after a discussion with my doctor, and after 48 hours of watching my diet, I have come to the conclusion that what I experienced in my OP was a temporary side effect of the blood thinner medication that I'm on.
One of my doctors explained that the blood thinners can do weird stuff like that, temporarily, and that it should resolve on its own, and it did. I'm eating the same food I was and feeling just as I was before.
Months ago, when I first started taking the blood thinners, I got vertigo and nausea all the time, but that too resolved on its own as my body got used to the blood thinners.
Will this be the last issue I have with the blood thinners? Definitely not. Should I look forward to another issue like this in the future? Probably. But for now, I'm fine.
As for the high blood pressure, well, I just need to cut back on the sugar.
