I just got out of a 4+ year relationship where I was essentially glued to my gf and became a friendless social retard. Now I am trying to make new friends and I am realizing how utterly boring I am because of almost half a decade of dedicating my entire time and attention to one person. >video games and anime are finally popular nowadays and I don't like them anymore because "nothing has been good in years" >convinced myself that diving as autistically as I used to in programming and art wasn't worth it because of AI >haven't enjoyed more than 3 shows and movies per year on average >not into sports, activities, reading, etc. I have become "that guy" who likes nothing. I used to have an identity at least, now all I do is go to work, water my plants and keep my apartment clean. I know this place isn't the best place to ask, but how do I become remotely interesting at this point?

Try new things. Look for groups on Meetup that sound interesting. Ideally you should have one physically stimulating hobby, one mentally stimulating one, and at least one social one that forces you to interact with others regularly.

>>34615066(OP) Try revisiting old activities or just joining random meetups as >>34615151 says. You water your plants, maybe take up more gardening? If you like old man hobbies then woodworking and birdwatching might be appealing.

>>34615151 >>34615168 >Meetup That's a genuinely good idea, but I just checked what's nearby and in a 30 km. radius, the only things available are AI talks and for some reason Indian shit. Welp. >physically stimulating hobby, one mentally stimulating one, and at least one social one that forces you to interact with others regularly This is a really good framework. Thanks.

>>34615304 Where do you live? Moving in/near an urban area makes it easier to find people.

>>34615066(OP) Very relatable, i also lost interest in videogames so hard that can't understand how so many adults enjoy being sitted for hours putting effort and time in some dull ass video game, that usually is based on learning some pattern then go to the next phase, learn a new and even harder pattern, repeat that process until it is finished and go spend more money on a new game.
Meanwhile most of them have a pretty lame life. Don't they think about having a hobbie that is actually useful?
Plus, i don't think you likes nothing, 'cause you metioned being really into art and programming before the rise of AI. Also, you still like watering your plants and keeping your house clean. I don't think one should force themselves onto shit just to look more interest to people they don't even know.

>>34615066(OP) Stop wanting to be interesting and start being based. Life is about work, not entertainment. Learn woodworking and start farming.
