I just put my yucca outside on my southwest facing balcony. I live in the northern hemisphere so this place gets full sun from morning to late in the afternoon. it has been kept indoors for the past two years. will it survive in this spot, or should I place it somewhere shadier?

>>5133032 plants need to build up adaptations to their environment, especially to blue and UV light you should give it time-limited exposure to build up its tolerance

>>5133038 appreciate your advice, brother, I'll ease it in slowly then
>>5132774(OP) Newbie here. I started getting interested in /plants/ a couple months ago, and this is my little cuttings crate. I know nothing, so it's going to be a lot of trial and error and a pinch of internet wisdom.
The censored part is just a Plus Code I added to keep track of the source trees' location.
>>5131564 >>5131607 I guess I don't know nearly as much as I thought I did. I assume you're well-researched enough to know not to use miracle gro peat, but maybe your peat is contaminated with salt or something. You could try flushing it with distilled water and draining it to clear out anything.
How can I clip whatever this is and propagate it elsewhere? I have no idea if it’s a Chinese Evergreeen or some amalgamation but it’s just been sitting in this for over 4 years with nothing but slight water top offs lmao.

>>5133348 >Have the cuttings rooted? I think so. It's still alive after over a month, and offers some resistance if I pull.
I know nothing about aquaculture but I do have a forested backyard full of gnats and mosquitos and when this crossed my desk I got pretty interested. What are some simple water based plants I can grow in a wide plastic tub, about two feet deep? Preferably something that's sort of fire and forget. Im in zone 6A
now you can just copy it into google instead of typing

I ended up with more lemon tree seedlings than expected, so I potted them and brought them indoors, then placed them close to a south-facing window (it has evening sun, and a reasonable amount of indirect light the rest of the day).
>>5133454 Make sure you have a node, otherwise it won't root.

>>5133835 Indirect light indoors essentially amounts to deep shade. Why arent you keeping thel outdoors? They need all the light they can get.

>>5133726 it's mostly a bad idea if you are concerned with mosquitos. dragonfly lifecycles are too long and it's easy for predators to take them out when they emerge from the water. only go for some kind of pond if you really like the idea of having a pond
