My cosplay friend is 23 but looks about 12. We like to tease her, saying that all of her fans are pedos. Well, we might stop now... Her Discord mod didn't show up to Dragoncon. Guess what he was arrested for?
And my Etsy order from the UK cancelled.

>>10959992(OP) Don't tell yourself you're too chopped and unc for your con crush, because she'll end up with a guy even more chopped and unc.
If a group of con randos seems cool and they wanna hang, I will join them. It's that easy. In this way, I'm not like a lot of the anons here who get so antsy about it....but I'm not all unalike them either. Because in the event that this group stumbles across some other group they haven't seen and they're all catching up, I WILL dip. That's when it gets more awkward by the second

Got called cute and if I have a girlfriend. Happens when I visit a convention outside of my home town. It happens anywhere, but my home town.

I'm handmaking most of my first EGL coordinate, made my own JSK with fabric that was designed by me and printed off with Spoonflower, with a pattern I drafted, and then I made my own crinoline/petti from Simplicity S3192 A but shortened to knee length + two tulle petti layers on top to hide the ribs, and now I am going to be making my own blouse from McCall's M8620 A. All this work because I'm XXL so I couldn't find cute enough shit in my size and at the end I hope I don't look fucking ita

I miss being a kid, making cosplays, and going to cons with friends just to have fun. I barely see my friends and cons are just work for me now. I hate my business partner, but they don't know that. I guess I'll just keep this up until I die.

>>10972515 Consider corseting details and boning to appear as snatched as possible, some 2010's AaTP pieces incorporate this and I wish it was still a popular feature in jsks. Congrats on sewing your coordinate, hope you like how it turns out!
>>10972516 I know people in their mid 40's that plan conventions with their closest friends - what's stopping you? MAGfest and Dragoncon in particular have older crowds so you wouldn't be an odd duck among the baby congoers.

>>10972515 Good luck nonnie! If you have good taste you shouldn't look ita at all, and it sounds like you're putting a lot of thought into it so I believe you've got the taste.

>>10972528 I'm not sociable and I don't see anyone much anymore aside from friends coming to my table to say hi and have a dinner if I'm lucky. I get burnt out easily from human interaction. I only go to cons for vending now and can't (meaning choose not to) afford purely fun trips. I know it's on me. I chose a shit career path and can't manage to even try to get a real job, it it would destroy both mine and my business partner's incone.
>>10972528 Afraid to post pic but I do have a corseting detail on the front, it's not functional, just decorative. It's fully shirred in the back via elastic channels so I didn't think to go with boning for structure, but that's a good idea for my next JSK!
>>10972535 Thank you Anon, for the luck and your faith in my good taste. I will try not to disappoint!!

>>10972556 Friendships are an investment. And you may find that over time they don't exhaust you as much, especially if you experience friendships in places other than a marketplace/business setting. I see friends every week through a weekly anime club (online), game night (in person), and occasional arcade, movie theater, and rave/dance meets. Take back your weeknights - people may be hesitant at first, but if you consistently host clubs for a reasonable amount of hours, you'll strengthen friendships and your capacity to communicate. Shared activities are the key here - talking is fun but IMO shouldn't be the focal point unless you're meeting at a coffee shop.
>>10972559 If that's the jsk you've cooked up you're doing fantastic nonny. Happy for you and your sewing your own wardrobe journey!
