You should check out Big Jim’s. Total dive but everyone is so friendly there, the food is amazing and you get huge portions.

Noodlehead is good

Pizzaiolo primo is decent italian downtown. Nothing I recall is going to blow your socks off. Sushi kim 2 is decent, was the only good sushi place I found while wageslaving there.

Unless you happen to be in one of Pennsylvania's culinary meccas like Altoona, SHEETZ is as good as it gets, fine dining for people of class and distinction (just as long as both are "low"). From Slim Jims to microwaved pizza, SHEETZ has you covered, and you can steal it all.... except for alcohol. PA has weird alcohol laws, so you'll probably want to stop by the local pharmacy to steal some of daddy's special Isopropyl Cocktail to splash on your paramour's nether regions before your evening of romance begins. By this point in the withdrawal cycle, she'll probably be scratching her eyeballs out, so make a quick post on /po/ to find the nearest fent dealer. (I have no idea how /po/ became 4chan's hookup, but I ain't askin' questions.) The esteemed local businessman in the snapback baseball hat will probably require both you and your sweetheart to perform some sexual favors, but nothing you haven't done before. Stay focused and stay hydrated (now you're glad that you "liberated" that 16oz Fanta from SHEETZ). The rest of the night will pass in a haze interrupted by brief flashbacks of unimaginable terror. But what happens in Pittsburgh, stays in Pittsburgh. (Or else.)

I like the idea of pittsburgh, the location, but the execution is rather disappointing
the downtown is tiny and it's more like threaded together residential areas than a cohesive city

I was just there a few days ago and stumbled into a Taco Bell/KFC and the beaner making my food looked exhausted and I kind of felt like a dick telling him my order might have been wrong because of how it looked so he just piled three tacos on my tray in exasperation. there was this resturant that is a brewery built out of an old desanctified church, I think it was called the Old Church Brewery or something
the food wasn't life changing but the atmosphere was cool

I had this ramen for lunch from a hipster cafe/coffee shop in Youngstown maybe 5 years ago that I don't recall the name of - it was a Tuesday only special tasted like they made the noodles in house, very good, wish I could remember the name just that it was sort of a coffee shop with a dedicated order window for that and also with some tables and you had to go in another area for the bathroom.

I found pretty good pizza in Akron, though the chicken parm sub was a bit disappointing (lazy chicken cutlet, weird tasting sauce)
and there's a a blown glass art studio there I thought had nice stuff and reasonable prices.

Is there ANYTHING worth seeing in Youngstown? Just seems ghetto.

Some say the man’s a genius, others think he sucks.

My wife wants to try this Chinese place that claims to serve some duck and the lake she is a flooded and the guys who wanted to meet him were out of luck.
