If he discovered they were alive, I think the best moment would be when his mother put the toys in the trash bag and Woody would end up revealing himself to Andy and explaining it to him. Then imagine the debate? Andy and Woody trying to explain that he was putting them in the attic and it was his mother's mistake. They wouldn't even go to Sunny Side at this point, and Andy would probably reconsider what to do with them. Maybe he wouldn't tell his mother; who would believe him? Unless the toys wanted to reveal themselves to more people, he could say he was going to make a special shelf for them under the guise of "collecting them."

The most likely scenario I imagine is a feeling of mutual guilt. Jessie and Mr. Potato Head might blame Andy for neglecting them for years, but Woody would defend Andy and it would be explained that it's natural for humans to lose the desire to play as they mature. Andy could "apologize," but how would he know in the first place? I think the toys would also apologize, and Woody would go to college.
