>>154162797(OP) It was alright but the real time gimmick ended up hurting it the longer it went on.

>>154162797(OP) It was alright but lowkey Richard was the more interesting Spider-man compared to Peter. Especially by the end where Peter felt like he didn’t move the plot along in any interesting way while Richard was more involved in the plot and wanted to erase his family records from the Maker’s systems.

>>154162797(OP) When Peter is the most boring character in a Spider-Man book something has gone horribly wrong

>>154162797(OP) Started off with potential but the pacing dragged on and it fumbled at the end.
Plus the main Ultimate book killing Peter made this whole thing completely pointless.

>>154162797(OP) I read the first volume. The first issue is the only half-decent issue by concept alone, then it just falls off completely. The premise being the strongest bit from the entire New Ultimateverse leads me to believe that this was primary motivation.

>>154162797(OP) Started out strong, but fell off hard after Kraven's hunt.
>>154162797(OP) It outsold mainline ASM consistently solely based on Peter and MJ being married.
Imagine how much more brutal the curbstomp would have been if Jonathan Hickman was capable of giving a flying fuck about actually writing and developing characters as much as his worldbuilding autism.
People complain that MJ didn't have much agency but but she was a hell of a lot better than the mega cunts that are Insomniac and Wells/post-Wells 616 Mary Jane Watsoon--it's wild how simply not making her a bitch is such an insurmountable task for most writers these days and Hickman leaped over that ground level bar because he legit did not care about writing the characters and is on record stating as much when picked for Nu-USM.

>>154162797(OP) I liked it. It also helped me move on from Marvel once it was over.
