I worked for a small appliance manufacturer, not going to tell you which one, and about once every two or three years we got a complaint about our >1W vampire current draw. Out of about a million units sold every year.

>>2987945 Yep, that was me. Had a cheap peltier type fridge under my desk at the office. My employer, a top law firm, was incredibly rich so I didn't care about the electric use and doubt they would have either.

>>2987953 Yeah this is silly. They’re way cheaper to run. >>2987943(OP) If you somehow got a messed up one just attach $5 of insulation to the outside.
My 20 cubic foot LG LTCS20020S is running between 50 and 60 watts for a total of around 0.75kwh a day. If it didn't have to defrost it would probably be around 0.5kwh a day.

>>2987971 Easier to heat too. Square-cube law is a bitch and in this case, smaller is worse
>>2987945 Pretty much. It's a good indicator that the person has a substance use problem when in a private domicile

>>2990937 That used to be true for me, but it wasn't my own substance abuse problem - my brother is a raging alcoholic and when we lived together I couldn't leave anything alcoholic where he could get to it or it'd be gone by the next morning.

Bigger is better.

Get one without the useless "freezer" part. I did and it's better. It just fills up with hard ice anyways.
was cleaning out my pantry and remembered that there was an oddly placed outlet in the back. found one of these Cuisinart Wine Fridges on Marketplace for $50 and it fit perfectly. turn it down to lowest setting of 39 degrees F and it keeps normal drinks cold enough and you can fit two 12 oz cans where a single bottle of wine would go.
not sure about the power usage but it does produce a bit of heat out of the back but nothing crazy.

>>2990937 >It's a good indicator that the person has a substance use problem when in a private domicile wait, what makes you think this?
Considering a Electrolux EBE4302BD-L because it has 6 energy stars, and is left hinge open. anyone have a clue about it?

>>2994977 >left hinge open Your fridges won't let you flip the door to the other side? I've only ever seen that on the cheapest models of fridge. Like mini-fridges or bottom of the line one off models and shit.

>>2995075 this particular one doesn't, it comes in two varieties instead. I'm mainly attracted to the energy savings of having such an efficient fridge
