Does anyone actually buy Pixel phones? If you’ve bought a Pixel phone for any reason other than GrapheneOS, you’re an idiot

>>109029167(OP) I bought a pixel 7 and the recent update ballooned the battery and I feel like an idiot because I can't get it repaired in Poojeetland

>>109029167(OP) I recently bought a 10A. The battery life is crazy. I flashed graphene on it immediately. It's a clean OS with no bloat. It's also not a huge fund which I appreciate. Overall a good purchase.

>>109029167(OP) Yeah first Android phone that feels like competition to iPhones, everything else is for spec jeets. Almost 2 years of pixel, from 9PXL to 10PXL. I got the full buds + watch + phone + tv, don't miss anything from Apple, I like it better acktchually.
>>109029167(OP) If you bought a pixel for GrapheneOS you're doubly retarded

>>109029167(OP) I was going to. I needed an upgrade from my galaxy 22. But at the price point it seemed to have a less powerful set of internals compared to the galaxy 25 ultra. I also am concerned with both phones trying to lock down side loading apps. And I feel like google directly owning the play store would do so first. I do feel a bit trapped in Samsungs ecosystem with the relative ease of upgrading.
>google botnet >apple ibotnet >samsung multi-botnet >ccp botnet phones are awful. even if you escape to grapheneos more and more apps and features won't work as we fall deeper into the locked down remote attestation hellworld.

>>109030317 >I also am concerned with both phones trying to lock down side loading apps this is my concern as well, even though I want to use graphene. Also, Google has taken very specific measures to cripple AOSP and make developing Graphene a nightmare. It's a shame that linux phones are still in alpha

A couple years ago I bought a 4a for DivestOS (RIP) and the piece of shit stopped turning on within like a month and gets hot when plugged in.

>>109030340 It's not that Linux phones are still in alpha. It's that you can't convince all the developers of all the open source applications to make them mobile friendly. The market for Linux phones is so small and it's a niche within a niche that the effort would be largely wasted.

>>109029167(OP) This. GrapheneOS is the only reason to buy a Pixel. If you're a retarded sheepbrained normal cattle NPC who doesn't care about giving every minute detail about their lives to big tech, there are much better options than a Pixel. Options with better cameras, better processors, more ram, better screens.
Privacy chads are willing to sacrifice for the benefit of keeping big tech from looking over their shoulders.

>>109030409 Phone. I use voice to text because in disabled. Apologies.
>>109029167(OP) Imagine buying a phone with a lot of third party bloat, barely any hardware security and always behind on security patches and major android version. Pixels are great, even on stock.

>>109030345 how's life in your part of og jeetland?
Unfortunately I was an early adopter of the 6 Pro. Everything about it was great, except the battery life was complete dogshit. I think I only ever got 5-6.5hr SOT out of it, maybe 7.5hr on a good day. That's what I get for being an early adopter but I'll probably never go back to Pixel unless they completely swap Tensor for something else (they won't).

>>109030652 Well, Google won't take in my device for a mail-in repair because swollen batteries are scary to ship, and the authorised repair centre is in another city and the support specialist basically said sucks for you, AND no repair shop in my city has the OEM battery

>>109030476 I got the phone used, it didn't have much ram, the side button was sticking it was overheating. And it didn't have enough ram so background apps wouldn't run. I only update every few years when I need to. From 10+ to the 22 and now the 25. But yeah sure.
00
Anonymous06/11/26(Thu)17:26:47
Atrocious battery life if you're not connected to wifi. Tensor is shit

Anonymous06/11/26(Thu)18:08:19
>Uses Tenshit SoC, which is based on Eshitnos Lmao no thanks, I will never buy them as long as they keep using this PoS. Fucking Google had the audacity to price their phone in the same league of Apple and Samsung when they are basically 2-3 generations behind.

>>109030637 Except it does. Better than your shitty iToy, Apple Shill
>>109031687 I'm a jeet and I bought it because I was spoiled by Motorola's early clean android experience and was I exhausted by chink UIs, I considered samsung for while but there's just something about the UI that didn't feel right, it was too much, but now that Google has officially told me to fuck off I'll probably go for Ishitphone or Samdung and bear with the ecosystem
