That's because LLMs can't think, they merely predict text by compressing data into weights. They can't solve new problems. They're like a massive blob of stolen content that try to predict text you throw at them. They can't understand anything at a deep level and all current models will happily make shit up constantly.

For software in particular, the only path forward is to kill the concept of open source because licenses are blatantly violated by training LLMs.
