>>109031056 >DE >no one uses or cares about Are you new or just larping? It is literally the most popular window manager for ricing on Linux right now. Do you think banning popular packages for non-technical reasons in a rolling release distro is based? Void is for trannies by trannies.

>>109031123 NTA, but you do realize you can just install it yourself, right?
>>109031131 That's not what I'm talking about. Point is what does it say about the distro if the devs specifically decide to boycott software solely because it was developed by someone who doesn't like trannies? The devs of Void inconvenience their users for political reasons, not because they want a better experience for their users. That's textbook tranny behavior.

>>109031171 >Point is what does it say about the users if the users specifically decide to boycott a distro solely because it was developed by a team with a tranny? Yeah, I see your point.
>>109031325 >what does it say about the users if the users specifically decide to boycott a distro solely because it was developed by a team with a tranny? It says the users are kinda based? Strange. But I wouldn't even be against a distro for the fact that they have a tranny or two in their dev team. I'm against developers who make their users' experience purposefully worse for the sake of owning the chuds. Simple as.

>>109031602 Problem is that the devs of Void purposefully excluded a very popular package from their repo for political reasons instead of technical reasons. I'm just not going to support that lol. How easy it is for the user to get around this problem is irrelevant. I'm going to stop arguing with you now as you clearly either don't want to understand or you understand and you're choosing to not argue in good faith.

>>109031688 Your beloved Shartix does the same thing.
Is Cachy even good? The selling point is the custom kernel, and I did take it for a spin on my Gentoo machine.
The only good thing about it is that it lets you use LLVM for the kernel if you set LLVM=1 during your config phase and during make. You can choose to compile with march=native, and even compile with ThinLTO and O3. There's also their custom in-house BORE scheduler, which is supposed to yield better results.
I haven't done any benchmarking myself, but there are some benchmarks being done on this Phoronix article:
https://www.phoronix.com/review/cachyos-bore
Although it only compares between Cachy's other kernels. It doesn't compare between a standard Arch or vanilla kernel from kernel.org.
In my very short time using it, I didn't notice any big differences, but I only used it for a couple hours, and I didn't do any proper benchmarking.
