The bigger goal of the gov is to have a chilling effect for the adults, its not the children that arae the target. Its the adults. By forcing platforms to ID adults, all adults, to view news, they are stopping adults. Thats the main goal. The secondary goal is obviously once the adults are ID'd for their posts viewing access and posting access, government can then track what you say and write cheaply as the platform owners pay to identify the posters.
