I think the blues will be back in the playoffs next year, they really made a solid push after all star break and have more than enough talent to make it. Just sucks how overpowered the top 3 in the central division are. I’m a sharks fan so it’s obvious how I feel about Vegas cruising to the finals. Most soccer fans worldwide are baffled that it's even being hosted in the US and most consider it a moronic decision.
It's FIFA, the organization that runs the world cup, that is desperate to break into the American market and took the decision.

I don't think it's going to work. Unless they rig it to make the US the winner or something.

Can't really blame them. It's the last big untapped market. The problem is that they're not being very smart about it.
The smart strategy would be to promote soccer among the children, create small leagues and reward whatever teams already exist to make it grow organically.
It'd take 10–15 years minimum, but it would definitely work. The problem is that organizations like FIFA/UEFA are run by hare-brained cokeheads incapable of such long term thinking.
