And try to pray most nights. Recently I feel as though my prayers are being answered. I love God, and try to act in a way so that he loves me, even if I falter many times, I try my best. My conception of God is semi-Christian and semi-DMT induced schizophrenic interpretation.
Do people in your country (ITC) believe in God?

God helped me for years and then abandoned me. Everything is determined, prayers are not answered, what happens was determined to happen whether you pray or not.

I don't think "canned" prayers are good. I just try to speak from the heart with honesty, and with all the flaws the occur during it.

I felt the same for a long time, but recently things seem to have turned. Or maybe they were always being answered and I just wasn't paying attention or squandered the opportunities I was given.

It literally says the opposite. It says one should speak and converse from the heart in prayer and avoid rigid formulaic prayers that contain empty phrases. Perhaps the cath*lic church has advised against to maintain more control but the Bible does not say to do that.
