>>65196268 Are you sure, man? This thing genuinely smells like rank armpits and failed states.

>>65196375 NTA Just leave it out in the open for a while, the smell will dissipate naturally, or to accelerate it sit it in a windowsill that gets light constantly throughout the day for like a week. If you do the sunlight thing, it might fade a bit so ymmv. Otherwise if you really want to get rid of the smell, you could soak it in soapy water for like 20-30 minutes and then scrub it Just don't let the leather loop get into the soap, it won't play along as well as the canvas. It's just canvas, you can clean it like any piece of cloth.
>>65197297 i've seen Brandon Mitchell's video, it's pretty good, i always like his videos. as for Vaalgear, i'd like to see his overview of the type 3 AK-12

Anonymous05/31/26(Sun)16:49:10
>>65197522 >SGL-21 It's the closet you could get to a 103 clone that is not parts kit or a burger copy, my max would be $1650, I'm aware it will never go that low.

Anonymous05/31/26(Sun)16:55:46
>>65197587 NTA You can buy that stock from Sureshot. It's $45.

Are the WASR-10’s they’re making today around the same quality of the ones from 10 years ago if I just want a descent range AK?
00
Anonymous05/31/26(Sun)18:17:12
>>65197702 I hear they're actually better now. The older ones were notorious for wobbly magwells and canted sights
>>65196298 Would a civilian reproduction of these even be feasible? People would sell their kidney to get one, of course. But what about the technology/legality of it?

Anonymous05/31/26(Sun)18:48:34
>>65197783 The whole concept and design of that gun revolves around the 2 round burst feature which would be unusable. It would be retarded

Anonymous05/31/26(Sun)19:27:10
>>65197702 >>65197766 >>65197780 They are better. I have a 2018 WASR that is extremely solid and well built but completely pre-scratched and rougher uneven phosphate finish. The hammer pin and spring were installed very crooked with one end of the pin out of the hammer pin hole. It still ran perfectly like that. But I got a new 2024 WASR and it is much nicer. No scratches, nicer looking finish, everything installed correctly and straight.

>>65197783 >civilian reproduction It's complicated to make > more expensive to make > startup company goes out of business. It's a classic cycle of someone a making a repro of niche gun.
Sar better still if you are ok dealing with gunbroker, i have sar1,2,3. Here's most of my romanians

>>65197587 Magwell is an aluminum one unsure of origin got it from a friend. It's pretty friggin sturdy and doesn't move at all, has a clip that pinches it inside the trigger guard. Stock is as the other anon said, Sureshot AK-12 clone that'll fit a milspec buffer tube.
>>65197587 >>65198482 >>65198489 Found it https://ivantactical.com/shop/weapon-accessories/weapon-rails-and-tuning/magazine-extensions/bullet-ammunition-type-3-ak-magwell/
>>65198665 I wouldn't assume that they do. I can't speak for their 100 series parts, but when it comes to their Krink parts I do know that the barrel components are oversized to the point they won't work with any barrels besides the ones that Riely sells.
shot my 250th SAM5 today finally. It's pretty gud, I think I am a permanent 556 AK convert at least until 762 drops below 50cpr again. Currently have an M85 and the SAM5, what other 556 AKs should I get? Thinkin Beryl if they bring back the full larp set for sale
>>65199024 Gen 1 Galil Ace, especially if you can find one that’s been converted to take original Galil mags like picrel

>>65199038 already got one lol, but it's in 762 sadly, actually shot them both today and ngl I prefer the SAM5 and traditional AKs in general. Just more fun to run
>>65198955 I have taken a few off the market no doubt but the real fuckery is buying crutch folders. This took me forever to source

>>65197522 Would a saiga converted in exactly the same manner be worth as much?
00
Anonymous06/01/26(Mon)16:44:21
>>65199942 I honestly don't know, maybe the saiga route is better.
00
Anonymous06/01/26(Mon)19:35:07
>>65197522 Personally would go over $2000, more than likely will sell for around $2400 + tax + shipping + tip + adoption fee
00
Anonymous06/01/26(Mon)19:39:08
>>65199942 It’ll practically be the same thing if done correctly with correct parts but the “original” converted ones (yes they were still converted after entering the US) like the SGL demand a premium because they’re professionally done by a certain group and marked a certain way, literally.

>>65200460 >would go over I meant I wouldn’t go over as in $2000 would be my absolute limit
Thank you Xie Ping Ping, very cool! The only giveaway that it's Chinese is the rangefinder: instead of the Russian/Belarusian comma (1,7m) it has a period (1.7m)

>>65196277(OP) OP - Elven magazine glows in the presence of Orcs?
>>65200468 >>65199942 A converted Saiga will always be worth less than an SGL despite being the same gun at its core. Consider a BMW E30. Is an E30 M3 worth the same as an E30 316s upgraded with aftermarket parts that are more-or-less the same an M3? Of course not.
