>>65235469(OP) How do people like the Kimber 2k11? Did they ever get over their manufacturing issues?

Long shot but does anyone here have an M9 safariland SLS holster AND a government 1911 here?
I am genuinely wondering if I can just shove my 1911 in an M9 holster and run it. The prices on 92 holsters are at rock bottom and the prices on 1911 holsters are ridiculous. Difference of $90-120.
>gun runs fine >train with snap caps >takedown involves racking the slide like a Glock >slide won't budge at all >possibly a FTE or FTF with the snap cap What are my options here? I can't disassemble the gun to find out what is wrong with the gun

>>65235609 take the mag out, and force the slide back with a rubber mallet the snapcap has probably jumped the extractor and doesn't want to eject
>>65235650 Burt, you've got a heart of gold. Don't let anyone take that from you

>>>65230896 How does a shrouded hammer accumulate lint and debris? I thought the purpose of enclosing the hammer within the frame would eliminate that problem.
For any anons that live near a GT Distributors they have trade in G17 mags for $13. It says they’re out of stock in line but they had a ton in store. >>65235650 My king. I feel like I need to get an LCR to go with the poster so I don’t feel like a fraud. >>65235609 Do you have an optic or rear irons with a ledge? You could put the rear iron against a ledge and hit the back or the grip to try to reverse mortar it.

>>65235681 I just sheared the top of my sro off my slide, thanks dude

>>65235686 Fake news the glocknade would have blown up in his hands and he wouldn't be typing right now.
>>65235734 >>65235733 Why the fuck did he say that like it would work to clear the pistol? I'm out 600$ to replace this, I paid 350$ on the fucking gun
>>65235995 Tap what, the RMR HD? It's got a reputation for durability relative to something like the SRO. You learn something painfully expensive firsthand?
Thinking about getting a EDC sub compact, narrowed it down to the G43X or the M&P Shield plus. Planning on running it stock/iron sights Any suggestions?
>>65235512 I bought it used for $284 No complaints

>>65236055 I'd do blacked out rear sights with a high vis front post.

Qrd on the gen 6 issues?
00
Anonymous06/14/26(Sun)13:01:27
>>65236217 Likely lowered QC standards due to the desire to fully saturate the market with gen 6s. Shoot 500 rounds through your Gen 6 Glock before you daily carry it.
>>65234825 Man sometimes I forget how nice our small gun options are nowadays >>65234995 1. Soak screws and end of slide where screw holes are in acetone 2. Scrub old thread-locker off (old toothbrush or something) 3. Apply new thread-locker and use torque wrench (adjust for wet vs dry torque) 4. Wait for it to cure (depends on what you use)
>>65235641 That’s certainly a possibility, but you can just inspect your extractor/ejector afterwards for any damage. If you take it to a gunsmith and he finds that slide is stuck too, he’ll get the mallet out lol.
>>65236043 Don’t drop an ammo box with 500 rounds of .45 in it into it, knocking it off a range table into concrete, with a fully loaded magazine of .45 + 1 in the chamber
