Looks great but did they really have to go with the fate/madoka music? Feels too modern for rayearth

>>23796110 Have they revealed his new VA yet I'm guessing Tsudaken or Yamadera or some almost nameless new guy they're trying to push at the latest hotness

>>23796118 Male VAs are weird compared to female VAs. TsudaKen was a 20 year veteran before they randomly started pushing him into everything.
>>23796242 No, definitely not alone there. She's just not a talented actress, she basically is always has that vibe of "just reading off a script." Apparently she's training an AIslop model off her voice and my first thought was, "that one will be on-brand for her acting, at least."

>>23796046(OP) I hate this trailer because Caldina hasnt been revealed yet. even tho she is just gonna appear for exactly one episode and like 5 secs of the previous one.
also yeah, part 2 and all dat, but I prefer her part 1 look more.

>>23796233 Urusei Yatsura and Ranma are fine quality-wise, though. Captain Tsubasa is really good.

>>23796046(OP) Damn, I was really hoping for a sequel. Not because I actually thought this series needed a sequel but because the original is already perfect and it needs a remake even less than it needs a sequel.
My Predictions:
* Only 12 episodes long, and only covers the first story arc (studio will be open to second cour for the other story arc but only if the first cour can beat frieren's numbers). * mashins will be obviously CGI to the point that they don't even try to hide it * Youtube dumbasses will complain that the "isekai'd into a video game" plot device is boring and over-used even though Rayearth did it first * /a/ dumbasses will complain that there isn't enough waifu bait of these 14 year old girls who were designed to appeal to twelve year-old girls during the clinton era. * There will not be any yuri per se but they will keep hinting that the kids *might* be lesbos because it worked so well for WfM. * If we do get the second story arc the two sexy arab sisters will be redesigned to not be total sluts. It's not going to be something ridiculous like a burkha but they're definitely not going to be walking around in their bras 24/7 anymore.

>>23797656 A sequel is impossible if the manga doesn't get one.
>>23797656 >the original is already perfect the second half was garbage and the whole thing was poorly animated outside of stock footage (and even the stock footage definitely wasn't Sunrise's best). Actually difficult to think of a mecha series more deserving of a remake. Rayearth is exactly the kind of anime that should get remade. It wasn't that good, but it had potential to be good. I was somewhat enjoying myself during the first half. If they just stick to the manga and don't do the anime second half shit, that's a valid reason for it to exist too.

>>23797687 Oh piss off, this is just going to be a boring shot for shot retread of the manga and you know it. The anime was better than Deus Ex Makona.

>>23797656 >studio will be open to second cour for the other story arc but only if the first cour can beat frieren's numbers 1.- Frieren is essentially dead since the author defected from Shonen Sunday due to the whole pedo scandal. there MIGHT be still anime, but it wont last, the project is dead, Frieren is dead (unfortunately), Rayearth will do fine. 2.- you are seriously overestimating how utterly short the manga is, both parts fit a dual cour season perfectly. they will get those cours easily.
>mashins will be obviously CGI to the point that they don't even try to hide it Fair enough.
>Youtube dumbasses will complain that the "isekai'd into a video game" plot device is boring and over-used even though Rayearth did it first Thats the dumbasses problem, not the show's
>/a/ dumbasses will complain that there isn't enough waifu bait of these 14 year old girls who were designed to appeal to twelve year-old girls during the clinton era. i refer you to my previous answer, and the designs are just like the previous anime.
>There will not be any yuri per se but they will keep hinting that the kids *might* be lesbos because it worked so well for WfM. ok, this one i dont get... huh?
>If we do get the second story arc the two sexy arab sisters will be redesigned to not be total sluts. Did you SAW the trailer, right? we had the naked transformation scenes, with im sure even less coverage, and im sure they didnt drew nipples in the original anime either. And also, you are saying that the Chizeta sisters look too slutty? have you seen Caldina!?(both parts) i would worry more about her than them, but again, if they did got the naked stuff, i see it unlikely for costume censorship.

>>23797700 >1.- Frieren is essentially dead since the author defected from Shonen Sunday due to the whole pedo scandal. there MIGHT be still anime, but it wont last, the project is dead, Frieren is dead (unfortunately), Rayearth will do fine. Frieren is maybe the most popular anime in Japan in like a decade.

Anonymous03/29/26(Sun)21:37:23
>>23797703 yes, but the manga is now dead since its gonna be impossible for the author to find another publisher, all thats left of Sousou no Frieren is whats left of the anime. the Manga will NEVER continue... and just to be perfectly clear, i DO hate that because i DO like Frieren.
from that. a good chunk of authors who had manga published in Sunday and Magazine, including Frieren's author, decided to stop sending their work there and defected...

>>23797711 >what makes Frieren so popular? It's just SLIGHTLY thoughtful enough in present ideas that SOUND deep but it's also still just basic bitch shounen shit. >Oh it's about dealing with loss and time and also here's 9 episodes of a license exam tournament It's idiotic shit that morons think is clever
