It’s been a while since I last posted my work here. I built the War Beast from my all-time favorite movie, Death Machine (1994), using only binder clips.
Also, just wanted to share that I finally landed a new job recently. Wishing everyone here the best of luck, anons.
>>23892264(OP) Very cool stuff anon, I really like how you did the teeth. The spine is also quite a cool subtle touch. Congrats on the new job, hope it shall serve you well. Thanks for the well-wishes.
>>23892276 Aw, don't be rude man. OP is a japanese anon who likes building mecha out of binder clips, he's posted here before.

>>23892264(OP) Never seen this movie. How does it compare to other American mecha movies like hardware and the virus?

>>23895676 Watched Death Machine right after Hardware last summer and it was just straight kino back to back. Pure 90s cheese, can't recommend it enough. The pinnacle of western /m/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7GG9TN15aM
>>No.23895453 Thanks! I'm really glad you noticed the teeth—that's actually my favorite part too. Discovering these little details is exactly why I can't stop using binder clips for my builds. I'm pretty happy with how the spine turned out, but I agree, the cables covering the body are definitely a challenge for next time. That’s my goal for the next project!
>>23895676: I've heard of Hardware, but I haven't actually seen it yet—I'll definitely add it to my watchlist. I just watched Virus recently, too. You're right, the mecha design from that era is just top-tier. I’ll admit the plot was a bit complex for me, though.
Death Machine is great because the story is straightforward and easy to enjoy, and the mecha action is just incredible. The elevator scene is hands down better than anything in Alien. It has to be my #1 favorite scene in any movie featuring a killing machine. Seeing it force its way into the elevator cage while making those loud actuator noises—I get hyped every single time I watch it.
>>23895720: Added to my list! I'll look into Chopping Mall.
(Note to everyone: Just a heads-up, I'm using Gemini to translate my Japanese into English, so I apologize if my phrasing sounds a little weird!)
I'm genuinely touched that some of you still remember my past work. I’ll go ahead and upload some of my previous projects too!
>>23892264(OP) Gotta say this might be even better than your AC style clip figures, its always cool to see you post your work here.

I'd not imagine a jap would not bother to post here, but I guess less attention means more constructive feedback.

>>ALL Thank you!
>>23900769 Every time I build one, I discover new ways to piece things together. Honestly, I wish this hobby would get more popular.
>>23904784 I always post on 4chan lowkey worried that I might be annoying people. My work gets zero attention back in Japan, though I’ve been getting a ton of amazing feedback from people overseas.

>>23904993 >I wish this hobby would get more popular Rome wasn't built in a day, keep at it and others might join in.
>I always post on 4chan lowkey worried that I might be annoying people Don't worry about it.
>My work gets zero attention back in Japan They don't see your vision yet.
>>23905034 >>23906480 >>23906585 >>23908010 I'm really happy to hear that. Everything can be made for under 1,000 yen, so you should all head to a stationery store, too! I personally buy bags of binder clips at Japanese 100-yen shops.
Also, if you use AI to do an "image-to-image" process on the photos you've taken to composite them with imagined backgrounds, the results look incredibly cool.
