The problem is there is no negative space left on the entire body, and thus, no focal point with a recognizable distinct shape to define it in your mind.
When you think of OG Gundam, the first thing that stands out is the two prominent squares on the torso. For Wing Gundam, it's the green jewel in the chest. God Gundam has the huge double V-fin and the gold fairing on the chest.
This thing has no bold, prominent features at all. Even the football chinstrap just reminds of EZ-8 instead. Totally lacking color just adds to the problem of nothing standing out.

I think people are mostly assuming you change loadouts and can color the MS in this game, considering the fact that its probably the only playable MS there is a chance of either cosmetic upgrades or the suit itself changing through the plot
