Any tips for improving this build for PvP? It sucks against fast ACs, can´t hit anything lightweight

yes, many of the early game unlocks are used for builds, as the parts are more of side grades than upgrades. With that said, the starting AC is quite bad and it´s only redeeming factor is how easy it is to make it fit into a build, being light and low energy demanding

Those arms can´t hold the weapons, though this version does have a lot more defenses, though it´s quite a bit slower. I´ll try it and see how it goes

Alright, I managed to beat someone that I was struggling a lot before. The increased defenses helped a ton against constant pressure from machineguns, to a point the shield felt a lot more worthwhile since before I´d still take a lot of damage. Thanks for the help anon, my AC is doing a lot better now

Are dual Coquillettes usable? I'm starting but I felt the dual laser pistols and dual machineguns more stable for fights.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed that, but I've also seen many instances of trailers having an atmosphere that differs from the actual game.
Although AC dialogue has notable amounts of praise in it so maybe they can manage a similar balance with this.
Most important of all, I hope it turns out well so that receptiveness towards mecha games grows even more.

I'm hoping it takes it takes a similar concept to the Disorder Units of AC2 and expands on it in a good way. I like both them and the large monstrosities in AC but there's no denying the gameplay surrounding them could be taken further.

As a matter of fact I am using a Nachtreiter AC with Coquillets (Or Ludlows in most of my runs) with dual x3 plasma missiles. Build works well enough, very hit-and-run, very fun.

You know, I'm actually glad the laser shotgun has such low ammo reserves. I'm always surprised how evil they can be with the right generator, they'd be a menace if you could spam them willy-nilly.
