Honesty he’s not my kind of music but he’s been my dad’s favorite guitarist since he was like 16 and he really wanted to go so I went with him, but man it was a really great show. His backing band is great. I am turbo autistic about out of tune or out of key wrong notes and this show was like 2.5 hours of endless shredding and not a single nails on a chalkboard bad note from him the entire time. We got a couple picks from him which to me is neat but to my dad being a junkie for his stuff he was super stoked about that

i wonder why shawn lane, despite a fast player, never played sweep picking.
he's a really good player but i find when he shreds it's mostly a one-trick pony like this, the usual 3-note per string routine going up and down the scale
