That private plane crash was wild. No landing gear. Didn't run more fuel out? WHy?

5hrs newfag just starting out. I've decided to do my PPL mostly in a Cub and a Citabria. I was somewhat shocked to find out that only 4 out of the 18 CFIs at the school had the tailwheel endorsement. I can't understand why you wouldn't just get it if the school has the planes. It seems obviously cooler to me. I understand it may take longer to be able to solo but after you are a CFI and have hundreds of hours under your belt you're tellin me you're not gonna go fly the cool stuff just for the hell of it?
>If I was given the controls of a 737 during the landing phase and the plane was still 10,000 feet in the air, what would likely be the outcome? Would I crash the plane?
If you were suddenly handed the controls at 10,000 feet with no guidance, the odds of a successful landing would be quite low, and a crash or severe accident would be a likely outcome.
I fucking hate being in Radio Control. >fuckton of overflies and inbound outbounds >no radar scopes >nothing but a clock, pen, and flightstrips >static noise earraping you all day >have to sift through the noise to catch a faint callsign >have to repeat transmissions in a loud voice thrice on average because piece of shit pilots can barely speak english. My throat hurts after every shift. I fucking hate this. I should've stayed in approach.
