>>2075205(OP) As per german media (so limited reliability) the suspicion is that someone put the safety-pin in the wrong hole. The 787 has a virtually useless, safety-pin sized hole on the landing gear right next to the landing gear safety-pin hole for no discernable reason. Plug the pin there and it'll do nothing. This one is so new (delivered less than four months ago) that that trap-hole was supposed to be blocked but... you know... Boeing...

>>2075218 Why did he put it in the wrong hole? Is he gay?
>>2075287 If it weren't brand new it might. That thing's all carbon-fibre so I'm sure the inspection now needed will be a rather costly one, since that stuff tends to not show this kind of damage to the naked eye. Judging by how much the wings wobble (and the fact someone on board apparently got hospitalized over this) that was a pretty bad hit to the fuselage.

Didn't the india plane get baleeted because the weight on wheels sensor was all fucked up and it decided to turn off the engines? Seems to me boeing has a landing gear problem, systemically
>>2075325 Same in Canuckistan. Most of them criminals who can't pass the security requirements but given one anyways.
Got a buddy high up in Westjet. They hired a hindu HR guy to do the hiring, within 2 months most, if not all, new hires were brown. They found a way to quickly turf him (I think he was in the country illegally) and put a caucasian in place. It restored the balance, improved productivity and morale.
