Can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but if you legalize drugs, people tend to take them less, and if you regulate and control the production of drugs, overdoses would drop dramatically, because most of them happen due to non-uniform doses. When someone isn't worried about losing their job if they come out as on drugs, they are more likely to get help. When someone isn't desperate and unemployable, they tend to do less crime to feed their drug habit.

There's a ton of arguments for broad legalization across the board, and the only arguments I've ever heard against are emotional, and usually come from people who know addicts who have not been helped.
