a while back an anon bought an RV and posted the horror wiring job to the ccg thread. the methhead owner used fucking ethernet cable to wire up whatever electrical stuff he added to the vehicle, it was pretty bonkers.
on a different note, i remember another anon who was looking at a truck previously owned by a pilot or plane mechanic, and it had an autistic amount of service logging in a little notebook/notepad. cant remember if he bought it or not though.

The wires flipped around so much they worked their way out of the amp. The dude also pointed out the PCB should've cracked shorting the amp.

I was genuinely impressed by this. There was arguably more effort involved in getting this bit of wood in place than there would have been in just replacing the regulator. VERY confident this was used as a drug mule car, too, as the rear windows had a nearly opaque tint, and a section of the carpet in the rear was conveniently cut in such a way that you could stash stuff under there.

The previous owner of my car put a massive subwoofer in the car but did nothing to resolve multiple oil leaks.

But for real, that's not the worst thing to do. Literally plug and play swap, and potentially cheap as fuck, too. Also means you have more *potential* power on tap should you choose to chase it, and likely makes it's power lower in the rpm range, making it far more tractable in all driving conditions.
