New T7 guy here. Took her out for a ride, was pretty successful. Tried some low speed practice maneuvers in an empty parking lot, ended up dropping it fairly hard after a panic brake practice attempt. The ground was at a pretty severe incline, but I guess that's what practice is for. Anyway, glad I was wearing my helmet and gear - walked away with a few bumps, was able to eventually get the bike started and back home. Might have hit the helmet pretty hard - hard enough to scratch it up reasonably anyway. I don't think the foam is compromised, but just to be safe I will probably end up replacing it.
Need to do more low speed work obviously.

Is Scorpion a decent helmet manufacturer?

I can't find a size comparison chart for the various cardo-compatible speakers, right now I have the 45mm jbl ones and they're too fat for my new helmet.
Can anyone link me some slim profile speakers or a size chart of the official cardo ones?

Just took the XT250 around the block. I've kind of quit taking pictuers of it because being a /Lonely Rider/ there really isn't anything to see unless people want to see sand, and more sand, and some gravel, in the winter I'll see snow, that's about it.

I don't know of any helmet that can accommodate 45mm speakers, other than Cardo™ branded helmets.

The windshield didn't fit. My brother who owns a rebel is now the proud owner of my windshield.
The cheap chinese crash bars fit right though and the oil is changed. Feels good to shift again.

The issue is not the width, the 45mm speakers fit just fine, my issue is the depth of the speakers, since my helmet has NO speaker cutouts.

And almost no website lists the height of the speakers, they only list width if that.

Anon lmao think about it for a second. You want to install the speakers into a helmet without cutouts. There are three solutions to this problem:
1. You find speakers with close to 0mm thickness.
2. You cut the holes yourself.
3. You buy another helmet.
How can we help you more with this? JBL speakers are already slim.

I was looking for close-to-zero-thickness speakers! I'm a few mm away from being able to comfortably wear the helmet with the speakers on anyways.
But I guess I'll look for a piece of metal of the right size to heat up and carve those holes out myself.

honestly i think that this is anon's best option because i don't think any helmet made after 2006 doesn't have speaker holes so anon's helmet is past it's expiry date and should be replaced anyway.

I've got a carbed Bonneville that's super hard to start when cold, has a high idle speed, and sometimes rough acceleration. I assume these are carb issues. I've read that carb work can be really expensive, is it something I should try to fix on my own first? I don't know anything about carbs and don't want to fuck it up.

Sounds like you need to adjust your idle screw and your air fuel mixture screw. Is it lean or rich? Anyway carbs are easy to work on yourself. My baiku has 4 of em lol. Throw some seafoam in the tank to start, find the recommended air/fuel mixture online (it should be in turns out from all the way closed) and if it’s not that it could be you need a valve adjustment. How many miles?
