Depends on what you're looking for.
A long 110" wheelbase merc will be better for high speed cornering than a 95" 911, but said 911 will be twitchier and able to respond quickly and do tighter turns at low speeds.

GM was clearing out new C7's for crazy prices just before the C8 was about to drop. That would have been your best bet for something new. Now it's still the C7 Z06/ZR1 or the C6 Z06/ZR1.

Already chose the NA Miata for myself, but would consider a manual BMW M3 convertible if I wanted something more GT like. The other cars in this list don't interest me.
