Anyone else worried about Europe/US ruining cars for everyone?
Taking a look at the "Mothers Against Drunk Driving" situation where they want alcohol meters and a perpetual camera monitor in the car in the US (some already installed in the newer Cadillac models already) or the Euro's version of it with GRS2 which requires alcohol metering, awareness monitoring and a max speed limit set by the ECU to be under 100km/h
It feels like it'll be impossible to buy an affordable, honest car in the future

Chinese government even requires automakers to store "important data" (such as geographic mapping and vehicle flow) on local servers within China.

Yes China is also a terrible country with regard to privacy and individuality, excluding them from my main post wasn't an attempt to undersell them on how shitty they are.
To make it even more balanced, I'll say that Toyota also sold your data to data brokers from insurance companies that drove up your rates based on how fast / harshly you drove when cross referenced by the car's GPS
