So I happened upon an ad for an "outdoors bidet", which screws onto your water bottle and lets you wash your ass when you take a shit. The woman said that it frees you from carrying your used toilet paper. Herein comes the question, who the fuck carries his used TP? You know you can just leave it in the wilderness and it will decompose, right?

Pick up after yourself.

>>2871584(OP) >Herein comes the question, who the fuck carries his used TP? It’s one of those IYKYK things. If you’re in an area where you can’t bury your toilet paper (or shouldn’t), you already know why you have to pack it out. If you’re in an don’t know why, then you’ve never been to a place like that.

>>2871606 But the trail of microplastics you leave behind from the soles of your shoes grinding down into the soil is fine?

It should be buried with the poop. Even if someone is too lazy to bury it, TP makes the whole pile more visible and less likely to be stepped in by others. Use TP and for an even better clean, something akin to baby wipes afterwards. You people squirting water on your ass and playing with your poopy buttholes with your bare hands are nuts. The people who do this smell like shit.

>You know you can just leave it in the wilderness and it will decompose, right? I walked the first 20 miles of the Appalachian Trail two months after the bubble when no one was there. The amount of toilet paper just left around was truly disgusting.
You have to understand that retards go outdoors too. It's hard to help these people but a portable bidet is a good start. I wouldn't carry TP at all if I was hiking and had a portable bidet.

>>2871584(OP) There are places where they don't want you to bury your TP and pack it out instead. Personally I think this is a stupid rule because the vast majority of people simply won't do it. Of course packing out everything, all the time, is the best thing for the environment. But you have to be realistic about what people will actually do. They should just instruct people to bury it, it is better than them just leaving it in the open.

>>2871624 They do pack out their tp, the average backpacker in a national park is affluent, educated and environmentally conscious. Most people have even accepted using wag bags and packing out their poop too at places like whitney or the desert national parks.

>>2871584(OP) I've thought about this ever since that pepper vid. I'm always going to bury my tp if able. However there are some places like high in the mountains where feces and tp won't degrade properly, where you have to pack out everything.

>>2871614 Yes, compared to shit covered toilet paper that won’t biodegrade for several years it’s a non-issue.

>>2871709 Yeah, I'm just gonna carry around a shovel for no other reason than to bury literal shit. Put more bins around for the dog walkers and use compostable plastic.

>>2871584(OP) I watched this short, I typed up something like "of course you don't carry tp in the wild, because you have my tongue m'lady" but then I decided not to post it because youtube is already pissed at me for my shitposts in comment sections
>>2871584(OP) Just dig a hole, shit in it and also throw the TP in there. Bury it. Done. "outdoor bidet" is retarded. But also: this bitch is nasty as fuck. You are still supposed to use some tp after bidet usage. You cant just leave the shit water on your ass and legs.

Just find a water source in your guide and shit in that then splash water on your hole. It's ok people filter and treat water so they won't get sick

Catholing and putting your paper in the hole and peeing on the paper to aid its decomposition is fine for normies but I am elite and use tactical discipline all the time /out/.
I make up batches of dump bags with paper bags, plastic sheet, TP, disposible glove and a couple freezer bags. I pack that out and dispose of it discreetely in the trash. I dont leave my waste in the bush, often I will pee in a bottle and empty that some where else other than my campsite, often a long term one. That cuts down on the stink which can lead tracker dogs to you.
Taking your waste out leaves no trace for cunts trying to know if your in an area. Low profile is the only way. This is for safety and doctrine of privacy. Also if something happens in your Area of Operations, you dont have your DNA all over the place. You cant always control what happens, like someone else gets merc'd near where you camp, then suddenly you are the suspect. Never give up control. Pack your waste out.
>>2871584(OP) her advice is to use a rock btw. Which is terrible advice for any newcomer. You need to be very careful what kind of rock you use as you can seriously fuck up your asshole.

It's surprising how people don't realize that the real issue is that wild animals will dig it up, carry it around, and spread disease. That's why even if you do bury it you're supposed to dig down several feet and then repack it in.

>>2871584(OP) I never understood why a bidet is so superior to wiping. So you've washed your ass with water. Assuming you actually got all the shit off instead of just making it extra wet shit, what do you do now? You still need to dry your ass, right?
