Growing up me and family used to live in a neighborhood that was predominantly black with little to no white people. For reference I'm south African and we have a high crime rate so this might not be applicable to all black people, but there was theft everywhere.
Mind you I'm black so after decades of white apartheid I've grown up to expect some solidarity and human decency from my black brothers, but they've done nothing except hurting me. We've had two cars stolen, three burglaries and I was almost assaulted once. Now I live in a white neighborhood and I feel safer here as a black man than I ever did in my old neighborhood that was predominantly black. I don't want to believe in stereotypes but im beginning to notice a pattern.

I have a complicated relationship with race as well. My parents are African and had me in America. I noticed the black kids in school were mean to me because I liked school and nerdy stuff, and also for being African, which I always thought was retarded. Even as an adult, I get shit from other black people for just... existing. It's lonely because my nervous system feels safer living in white areas, but I will never belong anywhere.

I will also say, though, class is a big divide. Low class people don't care about optics and will commit crime brazenly. High class (elon musk, for example) also does the same, and people will cape for them, claiming they're doing it for our benefit. How has DOGE made anything better for Americans?
