>>16997908(OP) LSD, in fact you'll forget about the concept of time entirely, you'll be checking the clock to figure out how long you've been tripping only to discover that it hasn't even been a minute since the last time you checked.

>>16997908(OP) Inducing hypoxia from nitrous oxide inhalation effectively deteriorated my cognition of space and time. My perception of time slowed to a crawl, and my ability to determine directions was severely distorted, which definitely reaffirmed my doubts that the sober configuration of perception is not the most objectively sound, just the one that is developed more towards survival. So, on the threshold of brain death, or at least unconsciousness, is enough to disorient the mind into failing to process neural signals in a coherent manner.

If your perception of time is slower than does that mean your thoughts are occuring faster? People here have suggested stimulants/psychoactives which would seem to be related to that on the one hand, but on the other I don't think meditation with the intent to clear your mind (i.e not think and reduce subvocalization) causes time to move faster even though it should follow it does if thought rate determines time speed.

Doing something as tedious as possible. Study the grammar of a foreign language or something like that. Two hours is going to feel like six hours.

>>16997962 There are two perceptions. Your instantaneous perception of time speeds up when having fun and slows when bored. But your long term perception of time slows down based on how many memories you are making. Its why you return from a two week vacation and feel like ages have passed, but living routine life sometimes years can just disappear.

It's a topic I'm interested in since I was 10 or so. At that age when I was hanging out with my friends I wondered why time went by so fucking fast when I were together with them and why it felt like such a fucking drag at school or when bored at home.

If you get into the plank position time appears to stand still. I theorize it's something to do with plank time. I've watched over 40 hours of YouTube videos about this as research, so you could say I'm now an expert and can be cited as a source.
