Solitaire. Somehow a 25 tonner with a Large Heavy, two Medium Heavies and a Small Heavy manages to pack on basically max armour and move 10/15.
The game plan is also clear- fence if you can with the Large Heavy, but otherwise get in someone's rear arc and alpha strike. Sure you go up to 14 heat (if you were running) but then you can still run away as an 8/12 mover. Find cover, cool down, rinse and repeat.

Plus it looks fucking awesome. In conclusion, Hollander and Pack Hunter can lick my balls, Solitaire for President.

Depends on the era of clanmech. Post invasion they adjusted to IS style battles, but yeah they are bare bones cockpits. This doesn't change that the three mechs listed are pure monsters.

The Incubus is likely the best light h you will find, 9/14 movement, max armor for it's size and a clan LPL. Just a great Light mech.

A piranha is pure nightmare fuel for infantry. It can gut or outright kill a battalion in a single round. It's also a great light vehicle hunter.

And the poster already covered why the Solitaire is a nightmare. You can kill assault mechs with that thing. Every mech on the field has to watch out for it and you can't just write it off because "eh, it's a light mech"

Every single heavy laser mech would be better as an equivalent er laser mech. Sad but true. The heat, range and accuracy are just never worth it.
