>>98191899 They don’t want to get torched like what happened with Deathwatch but they’re gonna be a perpetual Index which isn’t great either. They do have a really good Spearhead that’s usable for 40k though, you just have to pretend the leaders are two Tranceweavers and a Masque.

>>98192232 I can see that happening, GW probably doesn't want to strip down Lions of the Emperor and Solar Spearhead with their diet versions, at least until a codex release or some shit. Guess we'll get a better picture of what they plan to do by then.
>>98192242 With 2 of the 3 Dreadnoughts free of resin, definitely expect to see them around more often. I'm still surprised the Telemon has its own stratagem.
Meanwhile Auric Champions is still a laughing stock. Null Maiden Vigil at least seems a little more practical along with Silent Hunters, which doesn't have a cockblock keyword, but probably really depends if objectives rely on actions a lot more, and if being hidden actually means much.
>>98192286 probably the most pathetic dream I ever had was when I entered a flea market with everything you can ever think of, I went to a section where people sold model kits, and the entire time I was going to table after table seeing scale cars and trains, and muttering bitterly about how I couldn’t find any warhammer kits. in a dream where literally anything can happen, but being able to pick up a warhammer kit at a flea market is just too much.

I haven't read much until now These detachments lock in your playstyle to score? They're railroading playstyle to score?

>>98192312 For me this system feels like it carries too much baggage from 10th into 11th. I got almost no detachments in 10th so I have very limited choices now, in comparison to Space Marines with their 60+ options. One of my detachments is 3DP for being overpowered at tournaments for 1 month 2 years ago, despite having been nerfed over that for the last 2 years.
I can work with what I got, but I don't understand why if a new edition was truly warranted (lol) we're carrying so much of the old edition into it.

And instead of being like a modern chain bookstore its like an old used bookstore that smells faintly of cat pee and all the bookshelves are thirty feet high?

>>98192332 I play world eaters and my best strategy is 30 terminators since blood surge is dead. Or, 6x10 bezerkers to run onto the center obj and die. It feels like a forced scenario mission onto armies who would never take it
Auspex scan reconnaissance with world eaters? With 0 special utility to even do it?
I'm surprised Salamanders are so high. I know, Reddit chungus hugbox marines so there might be some source bias but still. I've never met a Salamanders player.

>>98192380 What are you talking about bro they look amazing. Lords of the Forge is insane. You can make the most obscene unit combinations with their new support/leader splits. They legitimately look incredible and they have the strongest 1 DP addon of any action that basically singlehandedly enables a bunch of the 2 DP ones. Can you fucking read.

It feels like in attempting to fix 10th they expose the fundamental limitations of their simplified system and just made the game worse in every way. Why did it turn out like this?

>>98192406 spam lists (aside from the recon guard spam) were usually pretty tight on action monkeys so this would actually be impactful enough to disincentivize them in many cases
and its at least as functional as before and no reason to be upset
And for deathwatch make Black Spear Task Force 2DP or nerf it and make it 1DP
I could do this in a day for free.

>>98192331 dispositions are only locked in tournament play. in casual play you can pick what ever disposition you want.
it's supposed ot make the game more "narrative" by making every game you play different and even if you play the same faction there's 5 different ways to play against them.
unfortunately it looks like some dispositions are just much easier. so unless the scoring from dispositions are wildly imbalanced, you're going to see even more meta lists than in 10th edition.
