It’s a bit quiet this time a year but the surprise of more Legion Builders was very unexpected. Sadly this time around it won’t be a straight In Stock Sale, which implies this may be a get what you can now because they won’t be around later kind of deal. But with so many new parts to make use of, the potential for new army builders is very exciting! Do you have a favorite Legion Builder? What Builder types do you want to see most?
>>11796095(OP) Teaser image for the upcoming Reinforcement wave. Nothing really to see here and honestly, I think I would've preferred they did it the same way as the previous Reinforcements where they teased new figures over the week leading up to an in-stock sale for em. Hopefully the offerings are done in a similar manner, where they're mostly new figures with any reissues getting new, updated accessories. I also *really* hope we get some new 2.0 body Legion Builders as we have *never* gotten a new 2.0 Legion Builder outside of the initial AoD wave. The new build is too nice for as infrequently it's been used, and I still think it's an absolute crime they didn't use that build for their Skeleton Thief in the RPG line.
haven't played Elden Ring but this cow-horse is pretty cool

>>11796221 Moar Boarriors, Gnoles and Woodland Goblins. A Snakeman army builder would also be cool, but I doubt they'd go there.
>>11796232 It's super tempting, though I know it won't fit with Legions figures. But $100+ for any mount is a bit of an ask, over $200 if you want his intended rider.
Elden Ring is a good game though, only thing I wish it has was a full time co-op mode instead of the temp sessions stuff it currently uses. PC version has mods that can do that, but consoles don't get access to mods.

>>11796247 Yeah, I pre-ordered that Nottaa horse that was up a while ago instead as it was reasonably priced.

>>11796211 Were previous reinforcement waves available elsewhere? I want a legion-buildable regular knight on the valiant buck (either a real builder or just reasonably priced) and available on retailers.

>>11796314 Previous reinforcements were only up on 4H's site, but they were also in stock items and weren't something you could pre-order. Initially they were going to be "evergreen" figures, always in stock, but they dropped that plan quick and the figures moved real fast.
The first wave was all straight reissues but second wave was a mix of updated reissues with new alt heads and brand new army builders, along with the Silverhorn Sentry who was a popular army builder but a full priced figure. This wave was also launched as an instock sale. They made way more of these guys and some are still in stock now.
But being pre-orders, these guys might show up on retailer sites. They'll certainly be more expensive, but it's nice to have options of where to buy. But I do enjoy the in stock options, it was nice being able to throw army builders in with the random drops they like to add to their shop.
We got the first follow up to that line revealed at Wonderfest by Fury Toys I think it was, the mythic gods line, one of the main things that got me excited from that festival. Freya, Athena and Cleo are the ones they initially teased, I think they mentioned Zeus, Hercules and Ares as a later wave. Anyway, here is a prototype of their Athena body, which looks awesome.
Going back to the Mezco Conan discussion in the last thread, I am really curious to see the size of these Arnie ones, it's the reason I didn't order the warpaint version, if he's a small boy like the Frazetta ones then none of them will work for me unfortunately. When one of yours gets yours, could you do a size comp with the Frazetta Girls one please?

>>11796740 Damn, that looks superb. Quite large but Athena being tall makes sense.
>>11796812 Yeah, one of the good things about god figures, kind of any scale (unless tiny) can easily make sense. Quite excited about this line, the Freya they showed off originally looked sweet, but this one interests me even more. We have so many good blanks and female base bodies atm, but not many if any have that athletic, superhero like figure. This one will be great for so many different barbarian customs. POK joints becoming the standard out of China is cool as well, lets hope there is no hidden long term catch we haven't discovered with them yet.
Also, I know some of you liked the upcoming Vampire Hunter D figure, looks like the designer is doing another similar style one in that 1992 Dracula film.

>>11796878 >Also, I know some of you liked the upcoming Vampire Hunter D figure, looks like the designer is doing another similar style one in that 1992 Dracula film. Yeah, parallels to Eiko Ishioka's armor design are what have my interest.
Man, that Pirate Kickstarter just does NOT want to cross the finish line. I know it'll eventually meet it's goal and might even hit a stretch goal or two, but it is just crawling along right now.
I plan to hop in on it myself, I just can't decide which crew set to get. If I get the humans I could mix them with my Legions pirates to form a decently large crew with a mix of men and fishmen. But skeletons are Skeletons, and Pirate Skeletons are even more Skeletons.
And pic related is current crew. Qoi is obvious, but I stole the extra shirt from Blackstone Conan and threw it on a silver gladiator and got instant sailor. Gave him weapons that could work as tools and now he's he crew's shipwright.

>>11799255 >Man, that Pirate Kickstarter just does NOT want to cross the finish line. Having met them at two shows, they are fucking terrible about pitching product. They revolved around "4 Horsemen sculpted these!" constantly and less "Here's why these are cool and you should consider getting some." It turned me off from backing it at all. They spent more time pitching some boring tier stands already made and for sale, too. Also you really shouldn't talk badly of other product lines. It reflects poorly upon you and your product.

>>11796740 Gonna use this for a custom Noi figure from Dorohedoro
>>11799255 Hopdo unveiled this today. Their first goblin was pretty damn good. Not sure I care about a pirate variant, but it seems it could be of interest to you.
While I'm posting junk, Ramen Toys has apparently thrown their hat in the ring with Ceaseman. Sounds like it's gonna be compatible with Mattel MotU Masterverse gear. I think they were going for HHH, but he sure as hell looks more like Randy West.
>>11799329 Seeing how poorly the Kickstarter is set up, I can see that. It's a cool toy and concept, but they absolutely suck at the marketing aspect. Even straight up admitting they're only doing pirates because no one else has done pirates is them basically saying "We don't care what we make as long as we make something". It doesn't feel like they actually care about their figures at all, they're just figures sculpted by someone else they can make a profit on.
Say what you will about the 4H and some of their decisions, but they show a genuine love of what they make and some of their designs go back as far as their own childhoods. They *care* about making these toys and these characters and it always shows in their work.
>>11799488 This is from the same line as that rape goblin right? He was cool in concept, but there was just something too human about his standard face that felt creepy in all the wrong ways. This pirate goblin looks like it may be way more interesting though, and he's certainly way less creepy.
>>11799490 .....I don't get it. This is just a knock off body for He-Man customs? I mean, cool and all but I'm happy with my Masterverse 40th. Unless they give him some actual unique personality, I don' think I'd pick it up for myself, especially with how flat that chest is. I do find it funny so many companies are making their own Knock-Off He-Mans though and that they're all generic looking blond barbarians with a big sword.

Anonymous05/27/26(Wed)22:42:15
>>11799935 >especially with how flat that chest is. Ace said the flst chest is for using the Masterverse armors. I think it's a pretty saturated market, but maybe it does something others don't.

>>11799976 >but maybe it does something others don't. Na, this is mostly the same figure he pitched Mattel at the He-Man show last year. He wanted the license and for some reason continued forward even after they said no thanks. Just like Bad to the Bone dragging out for a couple of years yet the price killed it easily because costs have gone up.
The Sewer set might be the best thing he ever does and when it runs again as a repaint it'll cost almost double for whatever the pitch is. The van nearly doubled for the upgrades. Same for the car which came with a new Road Warrior gear set, but cost more than the first version with both upgrade kits. $40-50 for a single upgrade kit of armor around the windows wasn't going to fly

>>11800043 That sewer is a piece of garbage. Not sure why you want to support a weak bootlegger.

>>11799836 You can buy one and army build it by slapping a piece of cardboard with a number on it. Also, Naga Queen when?
>>11799836 Just to follow up to this anon in case anyone was interested, there are three versions, Standard, Deluxe and Limited, with Limited having rooted hair.
>>11800429 >>11800432 Nice. I need to see prices (hopefully they wont go full retard, because they look fantastic), but I'm initially interested in the deluxe for the alt heads. The resurrection effect being included is fun. Maybe controversial take, but I like that they have redesigned the troops instead of recreating the look of the low-resolution pre-rendered sprites. They looked good and were easily readable on screen, but I appreciate the more detailed and less cartoony designs of these figures.
>>11800494 >I need to see prices Pre-orders are up on Bombusbee already, but no full price/price estimate yet. The deposits are quite high though at $15 and $20, so I'm guessing they are going to be quite pricey unfortunately. Hopefully not. >>11799488 There is also a chef goblin heh.

Anonymous05/29/26(Fri)03:04:38
>>11800498 That's always the problem with Goblin figures like this, they cost absurd amounts so you really can't build a horde of em. I need some western company to make decent yet cheap little green grubbins I can buy for clearance prices at the store because no one actually buys fantasy figures irl (RIP D&D Toylines).
Also, Reinforcement wave 3 reveals and pre-order tomorrow, anyone else excited? I'm hoping they try to stick to a sub-$30 price point and actually use newer builds this time around. I need like a dozen of them new 2.0 bodies so I can finally get myself some decent rogues in this line.

Anonymous05/29/26(Fri)04:45:15
>>11799490 I don't think anyone's really interested in some chintzy bootlegger like him.

Anonymous05/29/26(Fri)06:29:34
>>11800498 Why this one doesnt have anything sexual, face or acc? >>11801236 >they cost absurd amounts First goblin is cheap, chink price of course

Anonymous05/29/26(Fri)06:37:46
>>11801398 >Why this one doesnt have anything sexual, face or acc? It still has the dick peg you can swap out. The mushrooms from the original are really weird anyhow and bro has no balls, better to just 3d print your own dicks for it.
>>11800494 >The resurrection effect being included is fun. The pre order has to exceed 10k

Anonymous05/29/26(Fri)23:04:03
>>11801787 >>11801795 .....do I *need* another version of Conan based on a unique art style? No, no I don't.
Have I already pre-ordered this set as soon as it became available? Yes, yes I have.
I don't know why, I'm honestly not even a big fan of the whole barbarian aesthetic, but when they drop a new Conan I'm in day one.
>>11801792 That's actually pretty disappointing, the Mezco Conan was already on the smaller end of the scale, especially compared to all the current releases. Going smaller for Arnie just seems wrong.
Also, the 4H "Live" stream for the new wave just started, will have news about what's revealed as it comes up but pics will probably be on a bit of a delay.
>>11802200 First up is a Legion Builder version of the Valiant Knight featuring a new faceplate for the visored helmet. Standard sword and shield, but the shield has the new arm brace as well.
The figure is paint matched to the original Valiant Knight, but won't have all the details and buckles painted. But still, a good, cheaper way to get a very popular, very simple knight build.
>>11802229 .....and Add-On Tunics based on each faction.
Each set is $20 a pop and comes with tunic, skirt and matching shield. Neat idea, maybe I'll get a lion one but otherwise I'm current saving a lot of money on this "wave". They better have some cool and new coming up because the Valiant Knight build, as great as it is, isn't exactly the most exciting set right now.
.....and honestly, I'm not even a fan of the idea that each faction just has straight up "knights". Especially the Bassylia faction which is supposed to be all about Wizards and junk.
Skeleton Legion Builder 3 is the same color as Skeleton Legion Builder 2, which is a different color then all other skeletons released in the line....but it's still a cheapish skeleton so who really cares?
$30 for this, comes with new weapons at least so that's cool, I like they kept all the arrows from that shield piece so you can have some fun with em.
Skeleton Soldiers Add On Set, featuring extra pieces to make some freaky skeleton monsters when mixed with the Skele LB3 and featuring a brand new Centaur Adapter piece to officially make a Skeleton Centaur.
$20 for this set, colored to match the previous skeleton sets shown in this wave.
>>11802269 Next up is the Vampire Archer Legion Builder, which let me say FUCKING FINALLY. This is the first 2.0 build Legion Builder they've *ever* made outside of the Advent of Decay Kickstarter. Comes with both male and female torso and head
$30 like other LB sets, despite the extra pieces and actual paint detailing.
>>11802273 And Vampire builder Add On kit, featuring "new" heads (they're just repaints), soft goods, a tiny sword and a new bird! This one is similar to the RPG wave bird as it can fit on either gauntlet with being molded to it. The bird is also painted to match the real life Vampire FInch, a bird who drinks blood!
$20 for this set and probably the first Add-On I'll actually pick up.
The final Full Figure reveal for this wave is the new Rat Man race, the Bilge!
Using one of the newest body types in the line, the Gnole build, this figure featured out tons of new points articulation in butterfly shoulders, double jointed elbows, bicep swivels and a full bendy tail.
$30 for this figure, like all previous LBs revealed, includes sword and scabbard as well as a bone knife.
