Only because it's not Lego and/or Pokemon related.
That Venasaur, Charizard and Blastoise Lego set is even more expensive than this and the scalpers went crazy over that one.
There will deff be a few scalpers, and some buying to just sell off at a profit in a few years as a minor investment.

Note the price, 2x regular retail. Bbts is literally buying them at retail to resell in the states, there is no licensing for US retail of SDF, only robotech. Harmony gold is a cancer that just won't go away.
