>>11813377 >>11813380 >not even healthy-orange color >cheap looking >empty studs look weird and cheap >no 8bit-game boy sound effects I guess you get what you paid for...
>>11813386 >Surpised Red wasnt our first trainer. Would be sick of it had an alternate build to make Mega Requaza out of the base. pretty sure we will see Red eventually.
I wouldn't be surprised even if they make straight 8BIT-like sets with 8-bit colored bricks and pokemon or stuff like that. It's all just the beginning - this line didn't even start yet. And Pokemon is like one of the biggest thing on this planet AND on the hype right now.
>>11813423 It would be cool if they did a $25 set for the Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow carriages. They can just come stand alone and if you have that Gameboy they can slot into that. Those cartridges look so cool id like Lego version of them and I dont even have the Lego Gameboy.
Any good brick-built weapon inspo bros? I want to do a PAB order and build a JRPG party.

>>11813461 Just thought it would be a cool idea for an anniversary set that doesnt have any smart brick stuff. The carts also work by themselves and enhances the Lego Gameboy if you have one. Maybe they could do a cold and silver version eventually. Guess they couldnt do Crystal because that was Gameboy Color only. Lol that would looks crazy too.

Is it me or does like 90% of the pokemon lego sets look off? They all have that "robot pretending to be a real animal" look to them that ive never seen happen with creatures from other series (Monkey Kid, Ninjago, various animals, Avatar, Harry Potter, dreamzzz, etc.)
>>11813641 I feel like it is because Pokemon have more iconic looks, and tend to be softer "kid friendly" cutesy designs, and it is hard to make them out of Lego and have the rounded edges especially at the smaller scales they're trying.
And most of the rest of the things you listed (aside form HP and Avatar) are just made-up house themes, so the animals and such aren't beholden to some source material. And it isn't like they make a ton of animals from something like HP, but the Avatar ones mostly look kinda off to me anyway, but they also kinda cheated and used huge, specialized pieces especially for stuff like wings. They might have looked a lot more strange fully brick built.
>>11813612 Okay, I don't have any pictures per se, but here's a very simple design for a Big Fat Fucking Sword hilt I came up with. First, one of these.
>>11813648 Then put one of these in the gap left in the middle. Stick whatever blade piece (Nexo broadsword, Ninjago katana with the cut-off hilt, chainsaw, whatever) into it, and you're laughing.

>>11813645 For the smaller scale pokemon I think they do a decent job with the more rounded pokemon like geodude and the ones that are how do I put it straight and linear like Garchomp. Rayquazas head is what makes or breaks it and they really should have went with a custom upper head piece.
The smart brick gimmick really isn't helping any

>>11813664 I think the Eevee/Lapras set and the Sprigatito are probably the best looking Pokemon out of the smaller sets. I just hate they way they did the arms on most of the smaller ones, like Squirtle, Charmander, Mew and some of the others. I feel like I try to talk myself into thinking the Jolteon and Umbreon look good, but then I talk myself back out of it. It might just be the compromise they did with them for the smart brick, but they also look like they kind of have long bodies (especially Umbreon) but that might just be the way they look in the promo pics, because they look a little better with the legs down, but some of them also have some really flat looking elements so....
