>>11815075 Are they actually releasing more? I got the white and red kits when they released and liked them but I assumed they didn't sell well or something.

>>11815075 Wasn't the MoMo model kit line kill, causing the prices to soar? Are they reprinting it? Props to the creator for still trying his best to push his robo waifu after all these years.
>>11815075 No, those are straight up robots. To be a mecha musume it must be a human female with mecha parts and armor or a female robot with synthetic skin that resembles human skin like skankies.
>>11815220 Mechamusume literally means "robot girl". A female robot can be a mechamusume just as much as a human girl with robot bits; you're putting your own bias above the literal definition.
>>11815220 Is there a thread for robotic girls, then? When I look for Acerbies and the like they tend to be categorized under mecha musume or robot girls
>>11815282 Used to be but with the new rules slow threads had to merge with other generals. Robot girls in general get posted here a lot as well as other girlpla kits.
>>11815155 That's just Lily Wear Luluce with skin tone thighs instead

>>11815266 Really? That's all you have to say? Not even an actual rebuttal? Sorry, pal, but them's the breaks. Any female robot is a mechamusume by definition. You don't have to like it.

>>11815202 I saw some alternative MoMo kits on the creators(?) booth. There was a Cat and Octopus MoMo.
Posted on /m/ and /tg/ before but it's on topic so I post it here as well - recently finished custom Sister, unlike previous projects aimed to use as much actual optional parts as possible instead of doing my own ones with polystyrene. Like the final effect but shading is barely visible on photos so maybe next time I should do it more aggressively.
The differentiation is pretty simple, proper true mecha musume should be outwardly human while having mecha themed armor or parts.
Couple easy examples are that arcee from transformers and the Nobel gundam are mecha, not mecha musume. Stike witches and infinite stratos are mecha musume, it's all humans with mecha themes. Characters like Major from ghost in the shell or Android 18 are "mechanical" but lack mecha elements and thus are also not mecha musume.
Per >>11815377 mecha musume would be 4, and most cases of 5.

>>11815488 This does imply that you could change a particularly mecha-outfitted Acerby from mecha to mecha musume by switching out her head. Or that Starflower Lily or a Megalomaria girl changes the same way....
But it's all semantic fuckery either way, so who gives a fuck.

>>11816025 I managed to snatch Sourei off Amiami for about 4600 yen, which is a bit cheaper than what 30MS girls go for in my country. Crazy how bad the logistics are for Bandai stuff outside of Japan.

That robot girls in general get posted here (Polynians, Megalomaria, ect) are accepted in the thread or or other girlpla (Arcanadea, Kemopla, Sousai Shojo Teien ans so on)?because it really seems like that has been the case for ages and it only becomes an issue when somebody starts a retarded hair splitting argument.

well it looks like i bought the wrong naked body... size is off and skin color too. the naked body is also way more shiny and more concerningly feels slightly oily to the touch but it doesnt transfer to my hands. is it fine to wash them with soap? i'm worried about rust on the screws >>11816037 >Crazy how bad the logistics are for Bandai stuff outside of Japan. it's not any better in japan for those kits if that makes you feel any better. idk why bandai hates both their customers and themselves so much

>>11816051 Just look at the last thread, >>11810643 an anon posts multiple pictures of a fully-robot fully-male kit, and no-one (rightly) bats an eyelid, because it's Megalomaria, and that's "okay".
It's only when someone brings up something that the thread police decides he dislikes, that he exposes his biases and starts sperging out. It doesn't matter if they all look just like knock-off Megalomaria, he'll justify that they cross an imaginary line that somehow Megalomaria and the other "acceptable" robots don't and kick off an argument.
In reality, the only things that should be truly verboten in this general are Transformers, Coomershit, and Furshit, and then only because they already have generals better suited to them.
>>11816054 >>11816055 You're the one who was asking about the Naked Flesh bodies a few threads back? Didn't you read the responses to your question before buying? Both Partio and Pomock were MMS3rd Smalls; Pomock is Flesh Color 5, while Partio is 4.

>>11816080 yeah that was me and i believe i already bought it by the time i got answer and/or understood the charts i found. but i didn't have the time to unpack them until now. however, i was smart enough to not trust myself and got the black blank body as a backup. but i shipped that one via surface so will take more time. did they make the naked bodies in different sizes too?
>>11816087 >did they make the naked bodies in different sizes too? Yes. They also made "swimsuit" blank bodies, as well as a solid white and solid black one (though I think they were only for the MMS1st body). >however, i was smart enough to not trust myself and got the black blank body as a backup. Like I said, I'm pretty sure the solid black is only for the MMS1st body, so it'll be the same size as the one you already have, just in black. The MMS1st bodies (notable for their clip-on boobs and boxier upper torso) are intended for the earliest generations of Shinki, like the original Arnval and Strarf. The MMS3rd bodies were a running change, introduced at Light Armor Wave 3 (actually debuting with Partio and Pomock, then being used on the Valkyrie sisters in the mainline Wave 11) and notable for their "boob vest" design, slightly better proportions, and two size classes ("Tall" for normal-sized characters, similar in height to the old 1st bodies, and "Small" for loli characters). Both Partio and Pomock were designed by BLADE (same dude who is doing the Puni Mofu designs), and use the 3rd Small bodies to emulate his chibi/loli art style; unfortunately, the MMS3rd bodies tend to be the most sought after ones because of their improvements over the MMS1st ones and their backwards compatibility with the older Shinki, and the Small bodies in particular were already rare, so finding them on the aftermarket in 2026 is going to be difficult and expensive - I'm only seeing MMS1sts up on eBay right now. The body you want for Pomock will look exactly like the one on the right of my image here (the one on the left is an MMS3rd Tall body for comparison), except you're looking for skin color 4 instead of 2. Note the boobs in the package - they're worn over the top instead of clip-on.
>>11816176 Forgot my pic. Again, these are both MMS3rd bodies, just the left is a Tall while the right is a Small.

>>11815844 You will when the furfags take over thanks to "semantics"
>>11816071 My guy, the literal translation isn't a description. The mecha musume term was literally created in reference to three things, Gundam girls, Busou Shinki, and Strike Witches. Not Drossel, not Polynian, it's not about robots, it's about girls in mecha armor.
Do you have such an aversion to a basic request that your brain breaks every time someone asks to not spam what op has on multiple occasions to specifically not post?

>>11816191 >the imaginary line that the kits were designed by the same people for use with each other So we should split the general into a Bandai and a Kotobukiya one, then?
>>11816191 Skill issue, I can totally handle a few furry mecha musume. It's just a matter of a different faceplate and skin color/texture, honestly- I think I've seen a few around, actually. I'm in it for the mecha armor.
