Yes, you need both money and exp early on so get the scavanger and run around a bit

Man, I can't believe blacksmithing still has that issue 20 years later, where I have to wait five minutes for the NPC to leave before I can do anything. Wait for him to leave the furnace, wait for him to leave the anvil, wait for him to leave the water tank. Just put two anvils there, or at least make the NPC step aside.

I managed to get inside the abandoned hut just outside the Old Camp, I found a very powerful sword and a tunnel that goes right under the old camp

I never played the game, have I stumbled in something I shouldn't see at this point?

The game seems to ask you that given how scrawny you can still be if you don't prioritize the right stuff, but I never played the original and am just guessing. I'm certainly doing that and will also join the swamp camp.

How did you do that? I only manage the other way around. I tried to enter the castle, they stopped, tried again and they started to chase me. Went inside the temple, got assblasted by fire mages. Tried inside the castle/keep itself, and guards got me. Eventually I found some boxes on the left side, managed to climbed them and gave them the middle finger because they couldn't reach me. Started to explore, found some stairs, then tunnel, then door which only opened with some trickery on a torch, then I was outside on that hut.

I'm in chapter 3 and the water mages are fucking bugged. I'm supposed to give them the focus stones but when I try to enter their area the guards and mages attack me. I managed to talk to saturas once by turning into a bug and surprising him from behind, but I don't want to do that everytime I need to go to him.

also bloodfly transformation allows to reach some otherwise unreachable platforms

I know you could use a "meatbug scroll" and crawl under the main door with a hole

Do the talismans from the Orc Graveyard do anything? I kind of feel bad that they dissolve immediately when I remove them

Well, I got the most annoying bug. I did the quest for thorus where you escort diggers to the drop off zone and fight off some bandits, standard shit. Well, one of the diggers now just follows me around and demands I get out of his house and then just starts saying “I’ve had enough” over and over nonstop. He’s unkillable and teleports to my position, and monsters simply ignore him. He also frequently stops in doorways so I can’t get past him and if I attack him NPCs around me turn hostile.

I was already getting sick of the game crashing every 20 minutes but this is pretty much the last straw for me. I’m just gonna stop playing until they patch this shit

Bow and crossbow damage scale with dex but there is no dex melee weapon. Bow can be very strong and fast after you master it but buying arrows does suck. I think you can make them yourself if you learn smithing but feathers also seem a rare material so...

That's console, right? I heard the crashes are vile in them. On PC it's much better, despite the shitty optimization. I only had one crash so far, underground the tavern on New Camp, while doing the quest for the Rice King. Specifically while trying to solve a chest. That's it.
Having said that, have you tried using a TP spell to go away from him? It could work
