Collies unironically exacerbated the damage to the community with their review bombing. Rather than take the loss and let the devs acknowledge their mass complaints on reddit, they would rather sabotage the actual ratings thereby detering possible new players. They're so inconceivably short-sighted they would rather burn the whole thing down than wait for updates to fix the balance.
And of course it's low pop right now the update war was a hell of a grind and people are wanting a break.
Community actually feels a little better in game with all the bitchy whiney retards not playing right now.

Does anything even matter? I just want to log on and putter around in the backline for an hour here and there. I was playing for Collies on the Charlie shard but I think I would like to try Wardens on Able once it opens up? I'd like to see snow over mud for this war. Does the Charlie war end once the Able war goes live? Are there enough players to justify having multiple wars going on at the same time? I like factory/automation games like Factorio and Satisfactory; Foxhole seems bretty neat from a logistical perspective.

Also most of the matches no one is even using mortars or tow missles and no one builds so they dont even run out of ammo that much so doing logi becomes pointless unless you sneak somewhere to build an attacking hab.
Theres also the massive aimbotter problem in that game. Some servers have admins and reduce it a little but guys are still just doing it stealthy. In other servers its like they see through all foliage and shoot you easily.

I want to like foxhole, but that 1-3 mins of glory in combat is far offset by the 30 mins floundering around at the front because we got 6 rifle clips, 8 enemy SMGs and an enemy pushing up with something that we don’t have to counter or 2-4 hours of logi runs trying to get that counter to the front but realising that the frontline seaport doesn't have the weapon, go to the backline and discover they haven't even bothered mining the material, then finally after making it all get intercepted by partisans because it took so long that the frontline collapsed
