On early floors, unless someone that's a slower extractor is kind enough to hop off for you, yeah pretty much. You'll have a hard time reaching machines at all if Toons like Shelly and Yatta are in the run, so around floor 10 is when you can expect to actually start playing the game. If you manage to get a machine earlier than that, then cool.
At least Dyle floor is peak Vee gameplay.

What I lament the most about Manic Somni design is the absence of the bow. I always took note of Somni having a huge bow on her back, so huge it looks like wings. Combined with her lighter colors and gentle looks, it makes her look angelic.
I know Loaffledev has his own vision and I don't mean to force my ideas onto him, but I think Manic Somni having wings made out of ichor would be so fucking cool. I tried to express it the changes I want to see in my drawing too, like the lights getting moved to the side so the design isn't as heavy on the front anymore, and the hair ornaments getting replaced to black stars to contrast Somni's moons.
Manic Somni doesn't have much of a theme in her design outside of being robotic, so I think her having corrupted/fallen angel features would give her more identity and also combine very nicely with her having extra eyes. Imagine the potential for an extra boss phase, her wings unfolding from the bow once you beat her, soaring high above the player.

Made a sketch of how the wings would unfold from the bow.
The fallen angel theming goes so hard in a way it only could fit her.
Specially if it's Manic Somni specifically who fucked things up and caused the other manics to exist, like when Lucifer convinced 1/3 of angels to rebel.

Yeah this takes her design and elevates it a lot more by adding some simple details and I absolutely agree with the concept proposed to better support the theme. One of those situations where I have a natural, strong positive reaction to seeing something so I think that means it's just good. I really think Loaffledev should go with this approach.

I do however love the concept of protruding wings from bow, but I afraid giving Moon bow would make her look too similiar to Somni.

I wouldn't be too worried about the bow making her look too similar to Somni, most players are going to think so anyway due to how it's been done in other dandylikes. You'll have to mention that they're different entities somewhere. So if you like the idea of her getting wings, it would make for an impressive and memorable boss battle, and you don't have any flying enemies yet if I remember correctly.

I feel like Bow-turned-wings is such a unique concept it doesn't fall into that territory at all, and it also makes perfect sense with Moonie being made in the image of Somni. That'd set the expectation of Moonie having the same bow, which would lull players into a false sense of security

Only for you to take that security away at the last second with sudden wings, because why would anyone expect that?

I don't have anything unique to say because the other anons summarized it perfectly and I think their justifications are sound. I am adding my support to their points as another anon who is super invested in the idea.
