4chan's Bizarre MMOdventure is an ongoing project from a group of anons dedicated to playing through dead MMOs. >How does it work? Hold a ranked choice poll from a list of games. Play the game that wins the final round of votes for 2 weeks. After each game, we alternate lists of MMOs to vote on. Guild photos will take place every Saturday, check thread for pic times. New game starts every other Saturday, after the week 2 guild pic.
Feel free to recommend more games to be added to the lists and to encourage people to vote on a game you want to play.

>>2552899 Shilling Restoration (or Legends) Infinity was grindy and poorly documented. Also space travel would be cool

I'm partial to Restoration or Legends just to see a different era of this game.

Aion was on Summer Games Fest, getting a big makeover/update. So it might be pertinent to check it out around then since I know its been on the list a few times.
Thank you fellas for all your suggestions. The Divegrass Roster Poll is now Live. You may now go and vote for your boy (and a bunch of other faggots) to make it into the roster. Poll here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf9zFkaRKePgcC9urstmetyrJ-pomPJ80UJYDCNLvvyJvkTVQ/viewform Main thread here: >>2556572 The results will go live next Friday. Thank you for your support and see you next weekend with the results!
>>2559754 >2015 game Anon... we are in a thread about playing shitty old MMOs. My puter couldn't handle this at 30fps, lowest settings. I saw some of you niggers were playing motherfucking Hellgate on potato graphics so I'd imagine there's more than a few of us who are unemployed losers playing on thirdie-tier setups here. Still a surprisingly weak turnout even with that considered though. Last year's PSU revisit was like 30 people. MHF is basically the same shit and that had a turnout of about 50 from what I remember.

>>2560177 >>2559754 >>2559880 this project had the highest voter turnout yet with 26 voters towards the revisit finals. from past patterns, we'd be seeing 2-3x (50-75+) anons showing up ingame, yet there were less than a dozen in actuality basing off screenshots. I voted but personally didn't end up joining because none of the titles I voted for won. I wonder if something fucky is going on with the voting (i.e., rigged). interest in revisits seemed pretty high from thread activity but I noticed they nosedived near the end of the finals after movienight. also, why was /v/ not invited for the anniversary? if anything they should be by right since the project started there.

>>2560257 >why was /v/ not invited for the anniversary? Sounds like a great time to make one for SWG, always nice to see threads there

Anonymous06/07/26(Sun)00:58:32
>>2560257 >I wonder if something fucky is going on with the voting (i.e., rigged). Thats usually the case, there's always a trend of a particular person being pushy to come play their MMO that they really really like and if it doesnt win they sperg out. There was a lot of DDO shilling from the devs in the thread too.
>also, why was /v/ not invited for the anniversary? This is probably the main reason for the low turn out, a large majority of /mmod/ players tend to be people from the /v/ threads who stick around only for that game, or only come for the games they're interested in.

>>2560250 Oh you dont need a copy of SWG these days to play these? Or is it just for this server?
00
Anonymous06/07/26(Sun)01:08:30
>>2559880 I did the revisits last year and hated how I felt left out due to everyone already knowing how to do everything so I'm skipping them this year
>>2560257 The situation in the DDO was hella dire, the guild was empty, after day 2 we only saw the usual clique playing, not saying they aren't good lads, but it felt weird that Hellgate got even more players, we had a bunch of parties running around and doing content together, while that was barely anyone around during Dogma. Makes me wonder if most of this happened due to the fact that it was the same server from before

Anonymous06/07/26(Sun)01:47:34
>>2560572 Look, i just don't feel comfortable hanging around in game with pedogooners
>>2560542 I think we should, I'm surprised we didnt for DDO. But SWG has more nostalgia behind it.
>>2560572 Puzzle Pirates had more players too. I think, as people are saying in the threads, not a lot of people actually wanted to replay because they felt left behind.

Anonymous06/07/26(Sun)02:30:46
>>2560585 They seem good folk, wdym? >>2560595 There was barely anyone in the guild beside the usual faces, anon. And people weren't grouping up at all, most anons didn't even bump into each other, twas sad
00
Anonymous06/07/26(Sun)02:32:41
>>2560781 >And people weren't grouping up at all Nigger people were doing BBM literally every day any day, you either are too retarded to fucking ask people to group with you or you obviously didnt play the game
>>2560250 I thought Restoration was low pop, I'm in Tatooine now and theres quite a lot of people. Unless SWG is just that popular

Anonymous06/07/26(Sun)03:20:22
>>2560959 Its happened before where people vote a bunch on something then don't play it either due to last minute changes of mind, playing for a few hours and hating it, or just plain rigging.

So I've been watching a lot of Summer Games Fest and related showcases and these were the MMOs that popped up that could be of interest to us. Obviously not counting Guild Wars 3 and Aion 2 as they don't really fit the scope of the project. Maybe Aion 1 but 2 would be too new and bustling.
But here are the ones shown on the indie streams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bID7ksV9xCE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOIHmH2jiEo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_e8qM8seJA (though lets face it we can find a private server for this one and avoid the pay to win)

>>2564818 Wow I'm actually fine with playing 7out of 8 games here insane. Xenimus never heard of but looks funny. Bless online is complete unsalvageable dogshit though icarus vibes.
