>>59344984 >Bad typing Not really, grass/ghost and grass/fighting are grate offensive typing…so it’s confusing why they made them slow >Bad movepools Look closer buddy, they have lots of good moves >Bad stats Speed >Bad ability (in the case of the og) The only thing I agree with
>>59344953(OP) Because they're too hideously ugly to be liked no matter how hard GF and TPC shill them. Their small handful of fans just create an illusion of popularity by botting polls almost as brazenly as Drake bots his streams. They are very similar to Venusaur fans.
>>59345100 >great offensively Even offensively, they aren’t that great. Especially not Grass/Fighting. Having 1 mono typing wall both your STABs is already bad enough, as most dual types with that typing wall it, but 2? Good luck finding an opponent that doesn’t have a single Flying or Poison type, among the many types that resist Grass/Fighting. There is a reason why after Spore got banned/Amoongus got Spore, Breloom fell off hard and why Verizon never caught on either.
>>59344953(OP) Grass types are only good in two circumstances: >Fast, highly offensive Pokemon See: Kartana, Serperior, Rillaboom, Meowscarada, Ogerpon, Zarude, Celebi >Bulky supportive Pokemon See: Amoonguss, Ferrothorn, Whimsicott, Sinistcha, Celebi
The only Grass type to fit neither of those is Breloom, and Breloom has the fastest Spore in the game and enough offensive presence to make you suffer for using a Spore-bait Pokemon.
Decidueye, despite one of its forms sharing the same type and a general stat parity with Breloom, doesn't have Spore so it's not going to be successful.

>>59345172 Breloom falls into both categories. If Rillaboom is considered Fast, likely because of Grassy Glide, so should Breloom with Technician Mach Punch. Likewise it’s supportive with Spore. Also Rillaboom should be in both categories too with it having Fake Out and Grassy Surge.

>>59345100 Neither of those typings are good offensively. Ghost/Grass is potentially good defensively but Decidueye is not a defensive Pokemon >Look closer buddy, they have lots of good moves no they don’t >Speed And everything else barring Attack on the regional >The only thing I agree with If you were smart you’d agree with it all.

>>59344953(OP) Ironically they both had better versions in the same Dex. Base Decidueye gets mogged by Dhelmise and Hisui has to compete with Liligant who comes with Victory Dance

>>59345202 >If Rillaboom is considered Fast, likely because of Grassy Glide, so should Breloom with Technician Mach Punch. Even after Grassy Glide got nerfed in Gen 9, Rillaboom STILL hits harder with Grassy Glide than Breloom hits with Mach Punch. Before the nerf, it was the single strongest priority move in the history of Pokemon, outdoing even Arceus' Extreme Speed and Yveltal's Sucker Punch.

>>59345242 Same thing happened between Primarina and Tapu Fini. Fini outclasses Primarina in every single way. The only reason Primarina is used more than Fini in Gen 9 is because Game Freak finally gave Primarina a buff that put it above Fini - they put Primarina in the game.

>>59345123 Decidueye being as popular as it is surprises me. It’s so utterly shit mechanically.
>>59345250 It's not even a good design. Easily a bottom 10 fully evolved starter. Transarina and Incelroar are even worse, mind you, but all 3 of them blow.
Gen 7 is probably the least appealing dex of all time. I can scarcely think of a dex that's uglier while still being as useless competitively. There were like... 5 good fully evolved designs and the only good Pokemon competitively (outside of Doubles) were the legendaries. They even had to buff the psuedo-legendary more than they've ever buffed any Pokemon before because they foolishly thought a Dragon/Fighting Pokemon would be useful in any gen with comparatively strong Fairy types.

>>59345270 no thats been Meowscarada and Primarina. the flaming faggots choice when considering pokemon
>>59345238 >no they don’t Both forms have spammable 80+ BP moves for both STAB and both attacking stats (Hisuain is a rare fighting type that actaully gets Aura Sphere so it doesn't need to lean on focus miss) , Nasty Plot and Swords Dance set up, Brave Bird/Hurricane for coverage, two types of priority in Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak, Roost for Healing, and Tailwind for support. And Hisiuan's signature move is literally three moves in one. Its extremely rare for a non-shillmon to have even half of that versatility.
The stats for both forms are a complete shitshow, having the Aslowla curse and Hoenn SFMA syndrome but they have every move they could want.

>>59345250 It's not, but when you're anonymous on the internet, you can make it seem like you're legion. I say, if it was as popular as people profess it to be on the internet, they wouldn't have put it with the rest the failures of the series (including a slew of genwun animalmons AND the evolution of the series mascot) and gave it a regional form. never mind if it had the kind of popularity Prima had, they wouldn't have made Ash's eat an everstone. But because there was such a gap between Rowlet reception and Decidueye reception (including being considered worst of the Alolabn starters by kids), they knew there would be no issue feeding the cunt one to keep it unevolved and repping the disgustingly popular base stage to continue to sell merch of it.

>>59345298 The quality of its moves means fuck all if it can't stay alive long enough to impose its will on a round. and if movesets were the be-all-and-end-all of PvP, doubtless some other actual swiss army knife/four-move-syndrome poké would do what it could far more completely. If they wanted to make it good, they would have. they knew rightly it would be suicide to TRY to push it, so never bothered even paying lip-service (part-Ghost in a land FULL of Dark types...)

>>59345310 Ehh, that's about as relevant as the breeding population of poison dart frogs lad. The vast majority of people will never touch Chamapeons (sic) seriously, because the absolute vast majority of people don't actually give a fuck for pretending to be ash ketchum in a kiddy game series and try to become the vewy bestest like few ever were before. Meaning they see Pikachu, Charizard, Primarina, Cinderace, Meow, Infernape, Blaziken - the actual popular shit presented as so again and again. Then see the regionals and know it's not a "Best and Brightest" scenario. Couldn't be when the Mascot's fat ugly older brother's there along with a literal rat, a horse, dog and fox show a ball of poison etc, etc, etc that's all been dismissed by normal cunts over the last 30 years.

>>59345250 it's the only archer in the entire franchise. primarina and incineroar share concepts with many other pokemon, decidueye doesn't. it's going to get a solid popularity bump from that alone, since every archerfag is going to be naturally drawn to it by virtue of being the only option.

>>59345387 Because they can self-insert into the MC of the game and have their furry best buddy pocket rocket still anon. I mean, I give negative shits for multiplayer in most any game I perceive as "single player". Few exceptions, as always with humans (Team Fortress 2, Splatoon, buggering around in various Borderlands games) and ignored Pokémon's from the day dot because there was one other 15 year old in my year who had the game and while I knew a few watched the cartoon, couldn't guarantee the other Game Boy owners (in the years of the Playstation 1's rise to prominence) A) gave a shit for their game boys any longer and B) gave a shit for the games. I treat every game as if I'm Dr. Beckett in Quantum Leap and I'm jumping through time and space into these kids' bodies to help keep the universe running as it should. That includes setting abominations of every natural law in OUR universe onto any and all threats to ensure the sanctity of the pokémon universe.

>>59345250 This might sound stupid but Decidueye is probably my favorite designed starter. Not only is it an archer which you rarely see, but also it gives a badass vibe to me. It might have to do with the Spirit Shackle animation and how Decidiueye's animations in Pokken were I would assume why I get that vibe.

>>59345645 Yes, which failed three separate times, including failing despite launching a year before the biggest multiplayer character fighter on Nintendo systems launched (while Switch itself was selling heavens hjard and all other WiiU ports to Switch sold markedly higher sales figures than garnered on WiiU). Again, popularity means more than appearing on a dead-on-arrival fighter because the causal demographic of Pokémon isn't into niche character fighter games and the niche character fighter games crew aren't anyway near into a tekken re-skin. And it didn't get that.

>>59345705 I haven't, I like both of them, despite their reception among the fanbase. And despite what sensitive wittle snowflakes think, I don't hate decidueye. I don't hate any pokémon, but there are a LARGE majority of the 1000 or so creations I disregard, of which it is one of them. Hazards of being a bad grass starter, I'll pick up a vileplume or victreebel as coverage if really needed than pick a grass starter pre gen 9 and Meow (amazing what they can do with a grass starter when they WANT it to be the best of the bunch and pick of the Gen).
