>>59353040 For me, the most memorable are Miki, the Skarmory girl, for introducing the Steel type; plus, I always thought she was a parody of Sora from Digimon.
Lily, the witch, for introducing magic/alchemy to the franchise and being the precursor to Pokémon Dungeon (the whole thing about human children being turned into Pokémon).
Others I vaguely remember are the superhero girl, the Donphan girl, the Ledyba girl, and especially the water circus girl, whose design resembles a human Milotic years before Milotic's appearance.
>>59353301 Now I have a strong desire to see her updated version with a Farigiraf

>>59353004 >>59353520 Fun fact, this was one of the earliest Pokemon episodes to get fansubbed, and it was specifically because the translator loved the character so much.
>>59353566 I like Lily. I think she is underrated. They do look a bit similar. >>59352454(OP) They both look a bit similar to Maylene. I wish there was some fanart of Lily. Her transforming Ash into Pikachu has tf potential but for some reason that isn't used. I want to see full body views of her with her pants or whatever her legwear is and her shoes. I would also like art of her with Francesca.>>59353004
>>59354314 Casey soccer version (it's not soccer, it's just pokemon battles but they styled it like it's a soccer world cup in the movie)

>>59354316 She was cute and is my second favorite movie girl behind Margo. Really wish she had more screen time, though we did get a nice look at her butt just a few seconds after your screencap.
Brock hitting on the CotD was a gag that never got old. He represented us the boys watching, no way we would let those anime babes pass by if we got transported to the pokemon world.
Watching pretty women appear in the BW series and up makes me imagine how Brock's introduction would be for each one.
>>59354319 I like that she didn't even interact with Ash and his friends but this caused her to have little screentime. I think she was really just created as eyecandy and nothing else or maybe some animator drew her and they liked her design and wanted to use but they didn't know how to fit her into the story. Rowena the woman who betrayed the villain was also nice with her hair open and her glasses removed.
>>59354316 never saw this character before she's no casey

This thread made me happy then sad then happy again. Mostly from nostalgia. I think COTD is what made the pokemon anime work so well even in its shittier seasons. Since while some were trainers many were also people who used pokemon for hobbies, jobs, or some other method or were just studying them. Made the world feel lived in that even if you were not a trainer you never knew what some rando would be doing with pokemon.
>>59354452 Character of the Day. Because in a lot of episodes they focus on a specific (anime original) human character + pokemon, generally with some type of problem, comedic situation or just a way of living that the characters can observe and interact with. Obviously it can also be multiple characters at once. Characters that appear in the games aren't generally considered CotD.
