i got stuck in the cave where you drop down a long ways and had no health items. game looks great (especially the boss sprites) but it's just not that fun to play.

I quit in the dungeon where you get the shade power-up. The game looks good, but ho lee FUCK does it control like straight ass. The worst camera, the worst perspective, the worst hitboxes, the worst platforming, and the worst combat in any game I've experienced. Movie tie-in shovelware plays better than this dogshit. I don't even know how I stomached it that long.

Man. I feel bad for Sega kids, having to hype up the most mediocre trash imaginable meanwhile SNESchads are playing ALTTP, Super Metroid, Super Mario World, DKC2, Mega Man X, and Chrono Trigger.

Forget the fact that the level design is trash, the game is extremely unbalanced, and combat is braindead, it totally flounders the absolute basics. The camera, the controls, the movement, the perspective, the platforming, the hitboxes are all absolutely abysmal. I can't think of a single game from the generation that plays worse.

I got pretty far in, maybe like 60-70% in, there was a big dungeon/cave where you flip a lot of levers and no indication of what they're doing, dropped it there.

Apparently the Saturn sequel is a bit better.

These threads make me feel like I must have been a child genius for beating all of these supposedly hard or cryptic games when I was 10 years old. In reality people were just smarter in the past. It's why if you look at any letter from the 1800s, even those written between literal peasants, they might as well have been written by William Shakespeare. You could even go on youtube and look up any TV news interview from the 1980s with any random person on the street and they're just so much more well spoken than most people today it's actually surprising. But it's sad to think about because you just know that people 20 years from now will be an equal or greater amount dumber than the retards of today.

Definitely compared to Beyond Oasis. Centy has a fricking good OST. I liken Oasis's ost to those old stop motion monster movies based on Greek myths and such, kind of stirring and atmospheric but never tuneful or catchy. Definitely suits the game but not really listenable outside it.
