You guys think this game is gonna be an FF6 style game with an ensemble cast or will it continue the Fire Emblem tradition of being shackled to decades long tropes?

I hope atleast the porn will be good

It will 100% be shackled with decades long tropes, but as long as it pulls back on Reclass Emblem being the standard I'm going to like it.

i think it will continue the Fire Emblem tradition of sucking ass
>>2276712(OP) We should make a bingo chart >Really clumsy >Really likes sweets >Really dumb >Really doesn't know how to socialise >Really likes X character >Really shy >Really dramatic >Really edgy >Really a slut >Really can't stand X character

>>2277990 Add a "but actually..." to half of those and we'll have ourselves a Fire Emblem cast!
>>2277215 Yeah, Pull back on Reclass emblem and all the side garbage that come with it and we might have a half decent game for the first time in a decade.

Is the bald Danish dude's romhack any good or what do we think?

>>2289872 I've seen exactly enough of the first and enough shilling of both to dismiss them as dogshit.
00
Anonymous12/11/25(Thu)19:10:15
>>2289872 Honestly the first one (as it is, not whatever the DE is going to be) is around on par with mid tier romhacks, but has better presentation and aesthetics than them. The second one is ironically one of the better ones I've played, but does suffer from typical prequel issues, like not being a good stand alone game, kinda knowing how it's going to play out, and still hilariously missing up House Ring's lore. With that said I feel like the two games are easier sell's than something like Hag in White, which as a pure gameplay and story narrative, are much better, but Hag in White also has extremely ugly characters, fags galore, unironic trannies, and on top of not really being a hard game.
So I guess the real question is, are these two games fantastic on their own? ehhhhhh, they're alright. Do they look better(key word, look better) than what's surrounding them? Hell yeah they do. Are they must play games? Not at all no. Would I rather play them than half the shit on FEU? Sadly yes. In my opinion if your a gameplay fag that loves quirkly characters and a bad story that tries to be serious, like Engage, you'll enjoy his game, otherwise you can take them or leave them, like most rom hacks.

What would an FE game without all it's myriad tropes look like anyway?

Which game would benefit the most from a Sequel or a trilogy ending?
00
Anonymous01/12/26(Mon)17:13:35
>>2320165 A sequel to Awakening who will be Futur past dlc with Morgan as the new avatar. Awakening would be the original timeline story with a bad ending so no time travel from Naga. For a Trilogy, a game who will be the sequel to Gaiden and Fe 3 book 2. A war between Akaneia and Valentia.

I can be happy that Fire Emblem appreciators are eating well, but I am constantly bitter that Intelligent completely abandoned the Wars series.
I had a Three Houses dream last night. Which is odd, I haven't thought about Three Houses much lately at all, so I'm posting it here before I forget it all. It's sappy fanfic nonsense, though, so sorry about that.
Dimitri and Edelgard are sharing a quiet moment alone during that mid-part-1 party I forget the context of. Out on a bench in the middle of the night. I think there was some shenanigans to get them there, there'd have to be, but they're there now so whatever. Edelgard's cagey and stand-offish, while Dimitri's trying to make small talk and pretend he's a normal person, as you do. He brings up their time as kids, brings up the dagger, and Edelgard get's that AM realization now instead. It devastates her. Turning towards him in completely unguarded shock, then turning away in blatant misery. Emotional mask got shook hard. >...why? Why does it have to be you? Why do I only learn this now, when...when it's too late. It's far too late...too cruel...this is too cruel...
Dimitri, still pretending to be a good boy, reaches for her haaaand and takes it, which shocks her all over again. Calls her El, asks if she wants to talk about it. Kinda tripping into all the flags. After a long moment she admits she does, but can't. It'd be too dangerous, they could become enemies on the spot. Her face is hidden, that camera trick where a character's bangs hide their expression, but she's clenching her teeth, squeezing her eyes shut, inner conflict apparent. Dimitri leans down and sneaks a peek and recognizes exactly what this is, trying to hold in and cover up deep emotional trauma. There's a shot of some rusty, grime-covered gears shifting a bit and turning a little. He makes some pledge that he won't just attack her or something, no matter what it is, it was pretty vague. Squeezes that hand. And against all her better judgement, Edelgard agrees and starts talking.
>>2323968 Infuriatingly, that's about where I started to wake up and things got all disjointed. I know she tells him she's the Flame Emperor, which starts to make him flare up, but she quickly explains that it's an identity many people have used and she wasn't involved with Duscar. Throws in some promise that she's going to make those responsible for that pay, which calms him down. She explains what happened after they parted ways as kids, the experiments and deaths and the mysterious group running the empire, but that was even vaguer. There was some implication that Byleth had a hand in setting this meeting up, but that's almost certainly related to my own head-canon so whatever. And I fucking woke up before she got to the real good shit and about how she's about to start a war.
I wonder if this could have worked out? Is this the route to a better ending? Probably not, it's definitely out of character, but...I dunno, maybe? Through the power of anime ham and questionable 3Hs writing? Maybe. I'll settle for maybe.

>>2323968 Honestly this first part if you cleaned up the timeline could be a nice one shot fanfic on AO3.
>>2324082 I could see it. I'd read it. Hell, I'd write it if I was better. I do occasionally write little greentext shit, as you can probably tell from having dreams like this, but I don't have the confidence in my Three Houses chops to actually write a fanfic. I'm a big proponent that things in Three Houses could have played out a lot better for all involved with just a few minor difference, even just in part 1's timeframe. A conversation here, some understanding there, if only these kids had opened up to each other just a little more. It's the big tragedy of the whole game; it didn't have to be this way.
>never tried playing the franchise before >told to play FE5, by recommendation of friend >figure out I can nonlethal takedown enemies for their weapons, pretty neat >save the village, use samurai bitch to kill boss, get a bonus chapter. sick >fight off a shitload of pirates, low on resources >get to boss >wait he doesnt even have a weapon >kidnap his ass and get him as a party member. holy shit lol >next level, use burly woodsmen to carry children safely back home >get holy texts and rings as rewards >the kids are gonna be alright.jpg >wait fuck, walked into a trap >start off in middle of jailbreak (kino) >keep fighting off waves of guards with improvised weapons from capturing them until everyone has something to fight with (absolute cinema) >get to the end, guard legion waiting for us >one of the guards hears what I did in the previous map and defects to our side >so much fucking hype, miracle run my way through the next couple of maps while getting more people to the cause >kept capturing people for gear since I get zero money so far >thief is pretty good, steals the magic tomes from wizards so they cant even cast spells lol >entire game is just getting by on the skin of my teeth while fighting impossible odds with interesting game mechanics spread throughout >find out really fun ways to break even the hardest of missions in 1 turn under certain conditions >enjoy the absolute shit out of this game >turns out none of the games are even remotely like this I've never been more disappointed in a videogame franchise than now.

>>2325362 >>never tried playing the franchise before >>told to play FE5, by recommendation of friend Dude you got trolled, KEK this is one of the hardest games in the series
00
Anonymous01/21/26(Wed)01:54:05
>>2325362 Actually, I understand why you're disappointed. Your friend probably tried trolling you and inadverdantly made you actually enjoy it.
Thracia's creator and the series' creator, Shouzo Kaga left after Thracia since it was an SNES game made in 2000 so it fucking bombed hard. He went off to Playstation and made a new series called Tear Ring Saga and Berwick Saga which are the real spiritual successors of Fire Emblem before he left so you might find a lot of what you're looking for in those games. They're for PS2 so you'll need a PS2 Emulator.
I also want to let you know that Kaga released a new strategy game on Steam a few years back so you can try that as well: https://store.steampowered.com/app/694770/Vestaria_Saga_I_War_of_the_Scions/ And the Sequel is here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1811600/Vestaria_Saga_II_The_Sacred_Sword_of_Silvanister/
Vesteria Saga 3 is currently in development but there's been no updates in a while. I think he's trying to remake the first one lmao but whatever.
>>2325362 Yeah, sorry anon, but you actually started at the absolute top. I don't think they'll ever beat such a perfect storm, but some of their attempts have come close. If you haven't tried any of them yet, I would consider trying Path of Radiance, Fates Conquest route and Engage, as these are where I think they hit the next highest highs. PoR doesn't have capture but does retain the roguish feeling with weapon and staff stealing, and has good and fun side objectives. Fates has a capture system that allows you to use generic units if you want. Engage is just a very polished and balanced gameplay experience with good, challenging maps.
>>2325362 >told to play FE5, by recommendation of friend Your friend is an asshole. Glad you enjoyed it, though. >Olwen Good taste too. Lady-knight best knight.

Which Fire Emblem world would be the best setting for a Final Fantasy game?
>>2325362 Thracia was a flop because it released at the tall end of SNES life and the creator promptly left and burned his bridges like >>2325373 said and I support his recommendations. On my part, if you really want more Thracia, you can try romhacks. They're mostly GBA but there's also Super Thracia that adds a bunch of recruits and really inflated stats. The completed hacks are A Vestrian Tale and Bells of Byelen, which takes the main mechanics unique to Thracia like capturing, low stat caps and fatigue. There's also WIP project Knights of Leonster, that follows Xavier and his men of you want a fan side-story.
>>2276712(OP) So I finally went back and beat the last two paths in Three Hopes. >Azure Gleam AG remains my favorite path, as does Dimitri as my favorite House leader. I do wish we got to see Boar Dimitri again, but I understand why not. Story was okay. I thought baby-Edelgard was kind of weird and I really dislike the Hegemon Edelgard tease when nothing came of it. Would have been an interesting twist to have that form pop up as early as it did, but for her to be stuck in that form while still controlling the Empire. >Scarlet Blaze SB I actually liked a bit more than Edelgard's story in Three Houses. Maybe because she is not working with those who slither in the dark in SB. I still think her logic towards the Central Church is flawed, but at least she is not so brain-dead as to actively work with the real bad guys this time. Although if she WAS still working with them, a cool twist could have been reviving Nemesis and the 10 Elites as allies for the final assault on the Central Church. >Golden Wildfire GW was a bit of a step-down compared to Claude's story in Three Houses. Claude went from really just wanting answers to a having a hate-boner for the Central Church. While I appreciate a more darker take on him, like sacrificing Randolph or betraying the Empire, him crowning himself as King of the Federation just did not feel like Claude. The Kingdom is not Leicester's real enemy nor aggressor. A better plan would be allying with a crippled Kingdom, but making them detach from the Central Church.
>>2326089 "Kind of weird" is a very diplomatic way of saying "incredibly fucked up." I think it's less mental regression and more mind control. Kaga's shadow is long, and that perpetual terrified expression doesn't lie.

>>2325615 Adding on top SGW's for romhacks with Thracia mechanics with them, but i did beta test for it so... >>2326089 Hopes does elevate a lot of stuff in Houses in a really nice way, it's just kinda a shame that storyfags are filtered by musou games of all things, the genre isn't hard at all.
