>russia tries to steal rightful clay (useless islands) >clay belongs to vassal >can't directly join the naval invasion defense >have to go to the front when it forms This can't be working as intended, it's too retarded, even for pdx. How did this even get out of alpha?

>>2424027(OP) >game's a stinking pile of shite garbage and should get buried in the new mexico desert >infinite hours Funny how i almost heart his from everyone. As i've said previously, this game is amazing as a cookie clicker, but shit as an actual grand strategy game based on the history of the 19th century.
>fuck with game enough to get an american civil war going >go full meme slaver empire because why not >rush dreadnoughts, lay the first >decide to conquer and enslave mexico >instant pariah >park my one dreadnought off the coast and pray it can keep track of 4 different potential invasion points >suddenly rank 1 superpower because russia, spain, and britain decide to fling all their old wooden ships right at the fucking battleship texas AKA the sole surviving dreadnought in the world that made it through two world wars with popsicle stick canoes The defeats were supply boats getting ambushed. The victories are off the map. I'm sure this is working as intended.
I kept losing count around 35K dead just in this zone, which is well over half of total enemy deaths. Spain's navy is gone, they only have 2 boats left. The only one still trying is Russia, Britain is hanging back and I haven't seen them on this side of the Atlantic in a long time.

>>2424164 It's as good as it's going to get. The only thing missing is an army rework.
As Japan, how soon should I get my building snowball going? And how should I go about it? May last game (today) I got up to maybe 800ish by the 1920's, which I know is slow. Just didn't feel like I had the economy to start it early, but maybe I just need to trust in the heart of the cards and pump out construction sectors, economy preparedness be damned.
>>2424712 I refuse to believe this was accomplished without cheats. That's too funny.
Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm going to bother playing this one out for the last couple of years. >Monarchy: Constitutional. >Communists: G*rman. >SoL: Best in the world. >Radicals: Eradicated. >Denmark: Protected by G*rmans. >Fuel: Purchased from Russia (coal) and G*rmany (oil) >Economy: Top-heavy. >Navy: Advanced (Dreadnoughts) but trounced by RN and USN for tonnage. At this point I feel as though if I were to do anything that would piss my neighbors off I'd fuck myself severely since I'm entirely dependent on purchasing fuel from other countries. Without oil and coal my economy dies instantly.
>>2424753 The only cheats I used was spamming radicals to get the Civil War to pop off. I genuinely have no fucked idea what happened, I assuming that the evangelicals swapped to the socialists during the election when they were affiliated with the democrats at the start of the election and the game just chooses at random a leader of a member group of whichever party wins the election.
>>2424815 >US does diplo play to make Papal a protectorate >Papal folds because of course they do >Papal are now in the US market What's confusing about this really is that US would have enough involvement in Southern Europe to pull it off.

I rerolled like 20 times to finally get a perfect Krupp company, but they always fucking spawn with the wrong shit. What the fuck? I want my construction cost discount.
is AI incapable of moving armies with the new system? I came back to check the navy dlc but it looks like they forgot to teach ai

>>2425403 They're actually quite capable. It's just that, pre-ironclad, where you unlock troopships, you need a pretty large navy to move an army of any significant size, and the ai doesn't invest in that. But after ironclad, it's ezpz, and they do (if they have the money). And, it's not like the old days where all the navies would still be mostly frigates in 1922, they actually upgrade their stuff.

Anonymous06/09/26(Tue)19:54:09
>>2425509 It's awesome in spite of ethnostate, not because of. They'd make ethnostate even worse if they could, but then they'd lose the rest of their players who aren't glowing homosexuals, brown or low iq. They already pretend this game is purely unbiased, have a yt comments convo with a toutuber who simply denied everything, so continually changing things on obvious ideological grounds is only shooting themselves more in the balls. They've over the years given bits and pieces to satisfy players that are actually interested in history and especially the history of the 19th century, so they know they're gonna be on thin ice looking forward.
Paradox hasn't had that much opposition or competition for a long time, but i wouldn't be surprised if they eventually end up being the simcity to the next cities skylines.

00
Anonymous06/10/26(Wed)01:24:53
>>2425776 wasn't letting me decommission until I built replacements first. really weird, honestly wish I could just decommission them and have a replacement be built and upon completion auto remove the old ship.
>>2424854 These events are written so weirdly it's hard to follow what they're even saying sometimes. I'm guessing you "broke" it by having insurrectionary evangelicals, which means the choice between hurting your leading IG or empowering the rebelling IG is actually a choice between hurting or empowering the rebels and only the rebels.
I really don't like these events mostly because the 5% progress only matters if you want to force a civil war and it's stuck at specifically 95% (as if the game is about manipulating revolutions, same as siege reforms have bad options as if you're supposed to want to fail to reform sometimes), and decreasing it doesn't even slow down a guaranteed revolution because of how fast it grows to the target %.
00
Anonymous06/10/26(Wed)01:45:06
>>2425786 A lot of the events are written terribly, I mostly don't read them even the vaguely ontopic semi-historical ones.

Anonymous06/10/26(Wed)02:04:36
I honestly wish historical companies didn't count towards the company limit. Increasing the limit just makes every nation spam all the generics.
00
Anonymous06/10/26(Wed)02:13:26
>>2425799 I actually hate the generic companies and think they should be removed. The game's already more or less a fucking cookie clicker, so at least attempting to have some flavour and restrictions would be interesting.
God the vic3 community is probably by far the worst and stupidest people i've ever seen in gaming. The amounts of mods that make this, already piss easy game, easer is astounding. I'm surprised the nr.1 mod isn't "infinite player buffs, very easy, no game" on the workshop. I know most of these "people" are middle class, white suburban libshits and leftists who's never experienced any opposition or hardships their entire lives, but is this really too much for them?

I wonder if the meta for companies has changed and players actually use the ones that address radicals rather than construction maxxing or mine maxxing
>>2425807 radical reduction seems to do fucking nothing, even with a op mod that stacks the bonus a ton I still get minority revolts if I don't pass multi culti even when their SoL is higher than any of there neighbors. They're really going to nonstop revolt just because the capital is richer than them despite being infinitely richer than they were a decade ago.
