Ultimately it's the celebration of the death and sacrifice of the Solar god to the Saturn god. This is not a good thing. Luckily you can't just kill the solar god, but all the symbols of the religion are about his death and sacrifice. The first thing they tell you, he died for your sins. Also he's actually god.
