I've had demons follow me around before, I used to date a witch and I'm pretty sure she summoned one in my apartment and it kept on tormenting me even a year after the breakup until it got bored. My biggest piece of advice is just be a regular church goer for a few months, also Gregorian chants will make them fuck off for a bit but the main problem is they come back in retaliation. They can't really "do" anything to you so you can sorta just wait them out. In my experience they're sort of telepathic so during sleep paralysis and other encounters just think as loud as possible "In the name of Jesus Christ I rebuke you" and they eventually leave for the night.

Look into every demon case, every ghost story where a "demon" is involved and the story always goes back to some human that died in some horrific way that refuses to leave the earth plain. If not that then it's some extraterrestrial spirit/entity from another reality. Their origin and/or residence is never "hell". They just say that because they know that's the dogma that most humans believe, out of fear. Mushrooms can be like Ouija boards, they can open doors if you aren't grounded and are open to it.
